I was recently promoted from a Program Specialist to a Program Manager. I work in the tech industry in Miami and oversee software development teams. I am awaiting their new comp package now and am trying to get an idea of a rate to negotiate. Anyone have any thoughts here?

Hello fishes, I'm a Business Intelligence Developer (Power BI-SQL) with 3.5 years of experience. My current CTC is 9 LPA. Is it a good idea to make a jump now for 16-17 LPA or is it going to make me overpaid for my next jump?I am confused. Do I need to stay for another year and then make a jump. I am comfortable with my current work and the management and organisational culture is excellent. I am also worried that these things might go to hell if I make a jump for a higher salary. For folks who are getting laid off, be open to 6 month to 1 year contractor jobs. Go for W2s if you can get it and assess 1099 taking your company’s Cobra. It is a good stop gap measure until things improve.
