What is Accenture strategy? I never see them in pitches
Deloitte S&O is 90% operations and 10% strategy
Accenture Strategy is mostly tech strategy with small bits of analytics driven strategy in other areas.
Neither is comparable to MBB or even OW/ATK
Deloitte S&O especially if you can align with monitor in a few years
Don’t do Deloitte S&O. Can’t disclose much just trust me on it
1. Deloitte S&O
2. Both will land you interviews, your specific experience will land you the job. Firms with the most placements just have more of that type of work which I think is S&O
3. Deloitte
Work life balance and culture are questionable at Deloitte from posts I see on here tho
Also I haven’t been at Deloitte, only Accenture and not even in Strat so just take this from my questioning but continuing asking around
@D2 is referring to a reorg in Deloitte consulting. S&O folks will still be doing the same type of work and we will still place a lot of people in M7 through GSAP
Here is the thing. When DD came into Deloitte, we stole a lot of work from the traditional tech and especially S&O. The partners in S&O are not too happy with that that. So if we reorg and S&O gets lumped in with digital and other groups without D the partners can make their numbers and don’t have to rely on pure strategy. Pure strategy is slowly going the way of the wind.
Dd1, can you talk a bit more about the re org without giving away too much info
Acc your question is lazy and lacks clarity. What are you intending to find out and what is the context
M1 - I am asking three things
1) which firm has a larger pipeline of corporate and business unit strategy work ( shareholder , organic and inorganic growth, capability assessments, market entry studies, operating model blueprinting)
2) which firm has higher prestige outside of consulting market — which yields greater chances of exiting to f500 strat groups ( both Corp and BU level)
3) which firm holds greater weight w MBA admissions
Yeah man, reorg!
@Op service lines are changing, but most folks under SM level won’t be affected and do the same work specially in strategy
No MBA went from Deloitte Tech (IT Strat/M&A) and now work at a fortune 10 in ops strat. If you’re good it doesn’t matter where you come from.
Ex S&O in ACN strat now. Agree with M2’s comment. I do more strategy work now
Agree with DD1 on “pure strategy” being a dying term
