What should I prefer? Staying in my company where there is lot to gain in terms of technical knowledge that can help you grow money wise anytime later (may be much more than just now) or choose a very good offer now because I am getting 73% hike(28Lpa) but profile is not bad technically but not very exciting as well as in my current company where I am getting to learn mobile automation, devops, performance testing and what not. My heart wants me to stay here and my mind is confused. Pls suggest.

There's collective bargaining by the engineering team about what tasks they take on (Grooming / Sprint Planning ~ Contracts).
There's regular feedback and round tables to see how to improve things (Retros ~ Union meetings).

I went for 3 interviews with a company met with vp and was given package thinking I aced interview there was another candidate 😞 the other person for the job. The VP calls me to tell me I didn’t get position however he wants me to re apply in new year that something else will be open, and that he wanted to keep a copy of my resume what does this mean ? I’m looking to leave my job and have 2 interview processes going on at the moment. One is with a company I love with a role that would be a good challenge and double my current pay, but they have a hiring freeze at the moment with an end date this fall (supposedly). The other is a great opportunity for me to lead a team and a whole program with a little less money than the other role. Would it be bad if I join the 2nd role then leave in a few months for the 1st one if I got an offer?

Any one willing to help me prep for a senior product manager role?

Good afternoon to everyone except companies who create job listings asking for data scientists when the job requirements are primarily in data engineering and governance. Good afternoon to everyone getting the proper bang for their buck and getting their infrastructure setup sooner too.

Lost power thanks to the crazy heat wave in the Bay. (116 yesterday)
Am I still expected to be online and working via my Hotspot? Its hot as hell inside the house.
Can I take the afternoon off to head out to the beach and then work tonight when I get home and power is back on? My manager and team would totally be cool with anything (I think, from what I could tell from past experience and company culture). What would you do?

AVOID AGODA AT ALL COSTS. First they only had interview times 7pm to 3am, none during working hours. Then come interview time, I wait 3+ minutes in no one shows up and then I get an automatic email saying the interview has been canceled. I also then get an auto email saying they moved on but the recruiter emails a few minutes later saying they are trying to reschedule. A waste of my time and money preparing, putting on makeup, outfit and contacts, and skipping dinner.

How do you guys feel about pets in the office? Personally they are very annoying and inconsiderate. I have a manager who brings Tinstletoe in every day and Tinstletoe (who names their dog a seasonal name?? Or wtf is that name even?) isn't even potty trained, but it's always "easy to wipe up". I have found some messes in the kitchen and have been the one to "wipe up" before. It happens maybe once a month type frequency. She's sort of a tyrant of a person in the office so no one really wants to talk to her about it, but then Tinstletoe runs the show. We have another person in the office who has a really well behaved dog, and everyone loves that one and would be "devastated" to lose her, but then we're stuck with TT because no one has the heart, or the backbone to get rid of these animals. (in the office I mean...)
