Accenture Strategy (2nd year tuition paid for - ~$80k) at $150k base or Strategy& (no tuition) at $168k base?

The first thing you learn in business school is how to calculate time value of money. Do yourself a favor, figure it out now and apply the math in this case

Well to be fair there are lots of other considerations besides immediate monetary compensation to take into account when making this decision.

I would lean S&, especially if you are thinking about staying more than two years, as S& is slightly more reputable and the total income after a few years would be very similar. The $80k turns into ~$45k after taxes, as it is essentially a bonus, which is taxed at a higher rate (though you may get some back from tax returns). The higher salary from S& will translate to a higher dollar amount raise, assuming the percentage raises are equal between the two companies. So the $18k difference in salary will likely be even greater after the first raise.

Of course it can. I was just pointing out that a bonus isn’t treated any different than salary tax wise aside from initial withholding

I'd wait for your Accenture Strategy offer. Wouldn't be surprised if they bumped it up again. Plus your signing bonus will be higher as a returning intern, especially if you sign early.

At ACN Strategy you'll get the "MBA Bonus" which is around 30k in addition to your end of year bonus which is solid but our normal end of year bonuses don't hold a candle to S& and our salary progression isn't as good. Right now M1 is 170k vs 189k for them

The 80k hat Accenture reimburses is after tax. That said, $150k base is not an ASCDP new hire offer so I’m a bit skeptical

The 80k is pre-tax. After-tax number is 50k.

To add a data point... Bonus for S& is up to 33% at the SA level and up to 54% at the Manager level

I think that’s right
