So what’s your answer to the Q

funnylike

Really? I thought the name was kinda dumb 😆

like

All kidding aside, nothing but respect for S&. I'm with Accenture Strategy - AMA

like

S& probably a better name

Which industry vertical and horizon is your offer in? This is a huge factor

From s& that is

My answer to the question is it depends. What level are you coming in at? For each company, what are is the offer in?

CMT Strategy at ACN. Focus on big tech and emerging companies like Uber/Zendesk etc. No offer from S&, just looking for where to benchmark myself.

That's a solid place to be in, CMT is one of our strongest areas. My past few projects have been in CMT - the people we have in that area seem to be on top of it but still relatively easily to get along with for the most part. I believe our work life balance is on average decently better than S& (and the rest of our competitors) too. Any specific questions you were wondering about?

I’d gets 100-125

Guess*. Just ask for whatever you make now +20%

Likewise i can answer questions about s&

A1, if you're talking about compensation we have set amounts for each level / years at level. If OP has an offer he likely already knows what her / his salary would be. If not, I can provide what OP should expect based on what level the offer is at

S1, I've actually got a question on my side, if you don't mind me asking 😁 what's your perspective on how things have been going since the acquisition?

I guess I’ll be transparent, under ACN MC doing CMT Strat work but not officially aligned. I’ve come to a point where I’m I have to decide to either officially move into our CMT Strat practice (I have MD sponsorship) , or go to another Strategy firm - don’t think I would do one then the other I want to stay supporting FAANG and smaller startups, but not sure if other strategic firms like S& have those capabilities or are playing in that market

Ah I fucked up which thread this is, ignore me

It would be to CMT as an industry...but I’ve tried to search which of our competitors are playing in the startup space and I’ve only stumbled across Deloitte

Our healthcare is really strong. Consumer and industrial / energy are alright, and financial services not so. In terms of projects, we do have pretty exciting and strategic projects but adjusted for hours it might be 20-30% of total work available. A lot of engagement opportunities around transforming organizations, cost reduction program, designing operating model, et cetera. While some prominent leaders have left since the acquisition, we still have armies of pretty loyal and competent leaders still with us. Culturally things could have gone better in the past couple years but there are a lot of initiatives to correct the ship and a lot has been fixed already. I would say the future outlook is not too bad as a consulting shop in the US

Of course.... my extremely personal and subjective opinion above

I had an initial discussion with a recruiter at Microsoft for a director role. She mentioned that the base salary would be $185K. That sounds very low. Hi fishes - I’m with an MBB as a 2y Partner looking to move to B4, for a bunch of reasons. In active conversations with two of them. While compensation levels seem similar for now, the other posts on this bowl suggest we end up making more at B4 than MBB. (Referring to the 1.5M number of a y4 partner at b4). What is the real trajectory that people here have seen at B4? And how much of that is bonus - base - other components?

I've been out of accounting for about 2 years because I decided to move to another country for life experiences. I will be moving back mid 2022 with my fiance and will go back to Audit most likely. My firm said they would gladly take me back when I left. If i was making 65k as a senior 2 years ago is it reasonable to ask for 72k and a 10k signing bonus even with a 2 year break? Would it be more reasonable if I went to a different firm instead? How much do you think is reasonable?
