OP- come to EY. Not because we are the best today, but the fact that we have great people and building to be the best. 👍 DM me

I did some red team work with the Hacktics guys before, pretty decent team, same with the Houston folks actually.

like

Came from Booz to Deloitte - Deloitte is much better at cyber, particularly in IR and Cloud. Booz is strong in pen testing and threat intel.

like

comparing it to EY, which was my previous employer, I think the practice is much more mature. our offerings are a lot broader and more developed.

like

Deloitte US doesn’t do “hands-on-keyboard” cyber well. A few rockstars here and there and it definitely varies by region. I think our overseas red teams are a step up, though.

The tech boutiques and vendors are miles ahead (Mandiant/Crowdstrike/Microsoft/NCC/SpecterOps).

like

I’ve been on an IR engagement with Microsoft and a couple with Mandiant. I wouldn’t characterize their investigative people as miles ahead. (Actually, I wasn’t very impressed by Microsoft.) But they’ve got tons of data, and I would agree they are miles ahead of Big 4 from a threat intelligence perspective. I also hear excellent things about SpecterOps.

like

I personally wouldn't go with any of them except in cloud security, as has been said the boutique firms are the ones that will outperform on the other three options.

We have a nationwide Cyber team and do all of the above. We are a global firm with a boutique feel. Can provide the best of both worlds. Message me.

Any recommendations on how to make the transition and leverage ITAA experience for a Cyber role.

Anyone want to refer?
