Is it true that you end up getting shafted with internal transfer opportunities? I understand there would be no sign on bonus, but long term are you really sacrificing that much in pay (pay is increasing with internal transfer)? Obvious benefits of internal are keeping PTO/401K vest/pension

How does your firm deal with underperforming associates? We are crazy busy but have a couple first-years on vacation, 50-100 hours per month, and thinking we are a "lifestyle" firm. I don't want to just fire them, at least not yet, but I want to see a change. How many second chances do you give? How many months under budget?

Does anyone else find that even though the cannabis industry is booming, budtenders lack basic benefits like decent pay, healthcare, PTO, vacation, maternity leave? My company was acquired recently by a much larger company and they considered my pregnancy a “pre-existing condition” therefore I got nothing for maternity leave although the prior company had pretty much accepted my claim. There’s much more but I’m pretty disgusted in this industry.

I have been forced to work night shift on a covid unit because of my lack of seniority and every week they keep extended it first it was 2 weeks then 4 weeks now it’s 2 months I’m so over it I can’t sleep during the day I have 2 small kids at home 1 I have to do remote learning and a husband that also has to work outside of the home he took time off since it was suppose to be 1 month of nights but now he has to go back plus my family that usually helps me with the kids got covid. Any thoughts

I would love some advice. I told my manager I wanted to resign. I was planning on giving a 1 month notice. (the ppl are great but the product is meh and the projects I was assigned were highly complex causing me to feel overwhelmed and anxious. My boss and her manager offered me to take a 2-3 week vacation (I used 1 week in a year, I have DTO), reshuffle my projects, and offered me a mentor. Should I stay or not?

This weekend I went in on full cleaning spree. I’m taking deck - redo kitchen pantry - gardening - bedroom - and a cooking of meal prepping for week (which I never do )! ..didn’t go to sleep till 1am. Needless to say I took a PTO day today to sit and be in a coma state all day without doing anything at all 🤦‍♀️.. PleSe tell met I’m not the only one that goes through this cause it drives me crazy the day after a full on dopamine high . But the next day I am mentally non existent
