TBH I’m fine with the pay (wouldn’t mind making double) it’s the lack of staffing that’s the real issue, the unrealistic deadlines, the obvious lack of care from firm leadership.

THIS!

Sorry, I was more focused on the ping pong table answer. Pay is one of the factors that pushes a employee to resign. But I guess toxic environment and management will be my top most reason why employees leave the company.

I mean, it’s not totally wrong. Obviously this exaggerates it too much, but I didn’t leave B4 strictly because of pay. Having a life outside of work was much more important. Obviously I got a nice bump going internal but even if the pay was the same as B4, I still would’ve left.

Again, I’m not saying pay is meaningless. But I do think there are plenty of people who it’s not at the top of their priorities.

The correct answer is "all of the above". It's not one or the other. Compensation is part of the overall equation along with a ping ping table, etc. Its funny how mgmt doesn't know that since they were once underpaid footsoldiers. How quickly they forget. SMH

There are likely other considerations, but it’s ALWAYS about money.

That’s all I want for Christmas.

Pizza parties?

Hahaha! This never gets old to me! A ping-pong table? Yeah sure.

PMP test prep?

HAHAHAH this pretty much sums it up.

I will never forget when our office managing partner decided to thank us for our busy season efforts with a mountain of McDonald’s chicken nuggets. I had been at the office for almost 36 hours straight and I about flipped a table.

Oh that’s not bad ;)

I have got an offer from Accenture with 21L fixed + 27% Variable + 15 % joining bonus with designation as a Associate Manager.
I have around 10 years of total experience with 9 years of experience on SAP technology.
Should I expect more compensation than 21L or should I accept this offer?

I just received a job offer at a company I'm very interested in working for (yay!). Their salary offer, however, is at the bottom end of the range specified in the job ad. In my initial interview, I said that my salary expectations align with the range specified by the ad. So, my question is do I ask for more? Or do I just accept the offer? The company benefits are decent and I would get stock options, and it's fully remote - if that influences your answer.
