Rga can’t even lay people off with respect and you want them to give better severance? Let’s start with basic human decency first. It’s free
I'm bummed to hear nothing has changed, 5 years ago I was let go by someone I had barely worked with and escorted out of the building, it was wild.
R/GA is the worst

Might as well try to unionize 😂🤔
I’m in
I hear ya but Agencies don’t have money like that or most companies not in tech or finance.

What happened to the "talent crisis" we were hearing about? It went from that to "abundant labor" real fast.
Meta probably makes in one week what RGA makes in a year. That’s why they can offer more during layoffs.
It sounds like you have a problem with the law, not ad agencies.

Damn, you're 100% right. I gotta get into tech.

Agencies need to do better…

Did RGA just have layoffs?
Yeah last week
A week for a year? Glad I got out in time. All that blood and sweat would have been for like 2 weeks. Worked 4 years of hours in those 2 years. F that.
Honest question for y’all in this thread, if you have been laid off recently, what did that package look like?
Mine wasn't recent but I got 2 weeks severance and 2 months health care covered. The severance policy at my current agency is the same, and once you hit two years you get an additional week for every year after. But if you're ECD or above you get 3-4 months
Droga (owned by a consultancy) also gave 1 week per year.
I think what we saw happen at Stripe and Twitter is because of a law about mass layoffs and the amount of severance that it’s legally required to give.
I am not sure it was done out of respect or appreciation for employees, and was actually about avoiding lawsuits https://www.cnbc.com/amp/2022/11/10/warn-act-what-every-us-worker-should-know.html
