I have long covid (the fog is following me) and I have been off my meds for a few months (since I got sick). The fatigue + fog + rampant adhd + vertigo + tinnitus = Omg somebody help me. I am trying to find specialist doctors I can(not) afford and read insurance while I am dizzy and wildly inattentive/forgetful and overall off balance. 😭🤣 this is a joke right?? I feel under water literally and figuratively. Someone please laugh w/ me. 😬😂🤷🏼‍♀️

One method I’ve found helpful in developing solid “soft skills” in Big 4 consulting is to deeply educate myself across the field of social engineering. The book I started with first was, “Human Hacking” by Chris Hadnagy. The applicable knowledge I’ve gained has been invaluable. Way more valuable than anything I read from “Trusted Advisor” guidance. So i have adhd and really bad anxiety. Seeing a physchiatrist that will likely put me on anti anxiety meds.

Has anyone with adhd here gone on anti anxiety meds without treating the adhd, and if so how did the meds affect concentration and memory?

Embarrassing ADHD moments? I'll start

1. Drove home 2 hours tonight only to realize 2 hours later that I forgot my laptop bag

2. Went out of town and left meat out the freezer. Called an uber driver to use my padlock to get into my place and put it back

3. Driven off with the gas pump in my car. Twice

4. Walked in, paid for gas, walked out, got in my car and drove off

5. Forgot gyro meat in my air fryer for 2 weeks.

I was recently diagnosed with ADHD and depression. I have couple questions, it would be really helpful if you can help me here as I have no ecosystem/network who can help me.
1. Doc said ADHD medication would help with the later. Has anyone else been diagnosed with similar thing and did only the ADHD med help? I feel great somedays and somedYs feels like I want to die (For context: I am on concerta which is slow release)

I’ve decided to try microdosing. I have ADHD and I don’t take my meds because I can’t sleep while on them. I recently read an article about microdosing might be a path forward for those who struggle with focus/energy/etc. still reading up on it but looking for insight from those who have done it already.
Will it mess up my sleep? How long will the effects last? I’ll be doing 🍄, if that helps clarify

Newly diagnosed & medicated and new to consulting.
I’m great with clients but getting bad evaluations because I’m slow to produce work and don’t take time to communicate status.
I’m trying really hard but I keep getting stuck in perfection loops and scared to share things before they’re perfect.

Did you struggle with this & find a way to improve? I’m terrified I’m going to get counseled out, but I love this job so much.

Adhd + crippling RSD + low self esteem + BPD here, struggling to deal with nitpicking, negative annual review that was based on one project after a previous ptsd-inducing project that erased my confidence.
I worked hard on the assessed project, tried my best to improve on feedback, delivered good output, resulted in breakdowns, attempted suicides and burnouts.
The only thing I was recognised for was “the spirit. Wondering how to cope with this situation and not feeling like walking on eggshells

Does anybody else feel the need to work on projects with tangible applications/results? When I work on financial/IT work, I feel like the numbers are all floating in the air and don't really make a difference. On supply chain projects, I don't feel so much like I'm treading water because things are physically being moved and progress is easily measurable.

Does time blocking tasks for the day work for anyone? I get caught up, unable to finish tasks within the time block and feel miserable.

Has anyone ever had weird side effects after getting their meds filled from a different manufacturer than what you’re used to?

Need to brag- for the first time in my life, my performance review says "very organized".

First year medicated, I knew it was making a difference for me but seeing the evidence on paper is still crazy.

I’ve had enough. I may or may not have ADHD but I damn think so, as well as people I’ve talked to about it. I know I am smart and can accomplish certain things/tasks, but I literally just can’t get my mind to it sometimes. It was bad in college and only got worse since I started working. How do I go about at least getting tested or what’s the the process? Thank you so much in advance.
