Does anyone at Rutgers know where I can find a flexible part-time job for students on campus? I only found two campus positions on handshake and haven’t heard back from either yet. I feel like there has to be a lot more out there than what I’ve seen on handshake
Something similar to the digital classroom support specialist or tech help desk would be great. I consider myself tech savvy

A major difference is that people outside of the music industry think rock musicians are cool. Nobody outside of advertising thinks advertising is cool ☹️
It used to be cool. We had the cool offices. The cool parties. Could wear jeans. Had awesome per diems. Cool trips and conferences. My friends thought it was cool. Meanwhile I was making $23k yr when they started at $55k. Now are clients have all of that and we’ve got open work spaces and hot desks.
But the majority of the time I’d still prefer an agency role over the equivalent client role.
This metaphor sucks

However long you spent thinking of this, it was too long. There are definitely a number of careers that are more similar to advertising than being a rock star or a drug dealer.

Easy. Door to door sales person. Next question.
I’m thinking it’s more like climbing a greasy pole to break in. Then working on web banners and pointless deck building, only to become disillusioned and quit.
Detectives. You work as a pair. You think about work 24/7. You get takeout for dinner almost everyday and see your partner 12 hours a day.
That’s more like it. Except we’re making banners.

If by rock star, you mean you play bass in a Third Eye Blind tribute band, then sure.
Oh God. Please do not start calling people who do their jobs "rock stars" and "ninjas" again. I can't go through the job titles from the 2010s another time.
This post is delusional.
Working in Advertising = Rock star… 😂🤣😂
…Then there’s “drug dealer.” You do it when you’re young to make some money. After that you try to get a real job, but the pay sucks, and the work is boring. So you sell more drugs. You rake it in. Then, one day (or night), you get hit by a rival gang. Early death.
Besides these, can you think of any other careers that are similar to Advertising?
Sports. You come in when you’re young and talented. The better you perform, the more you get paid, and the more recognition you get.
Then you move up and coach (or creative direct) the next generation.
@President: It’s important to read the whole paragraph. It does not end well.
