Advice for Analyst interviewing at BCG? I’m Canadian and applied to US location.

Am I an idiot for considering quitting public accounting without a job lined up? I’ve dreamed about doing it for several years. Continue pushing my burnout and I’ll get a good month followed by several bad month…about two days after being on vacation I go back to being myself tho. Overall thinking about taking the summer off and figuring out what I want in life because this isn’t it.

New to freelancing. Got an offer for a Part Time Freelance Social Lead opportunity at a FAANG company. Would be responsible for ideating, copywriting, and creating assets for social media posts + community management.

How would you price yourself hourly?

I did a sono before trying to start IUI to check that tubes are open. Doctor said that tubes are fine but I have a couple small uterine polyps. Since I never tried to get pregnant she suggested trying IUI to see and if it doesn’t work to get polyps taken out. But I read it can cause miscarriage too so a bit nervous. Has anyone gotten pregnant successfully with small polyps?

Managers: how are you keeping tabs on your people in this wfh life we’re living? The stress and general awfulness of the world the past few weeks seem to be hitting my team hard and it’s difficult to pick up on those emotions when you aren’t physically see people outside of meeting settings. Know we’re all over forced zoom happy hours…so what else is working to keep your humans connected?

Help! I’m currently on FMLA and was just offered a new job (which I want to take). Timing of it is tricky - new job wants me to the start the Monday I’m supposed to return to current job. I don’t know how to navigate it with my current job as I don’t want to leave on a bad foot.

I recently cancelled a trip in the AA app and they refunded me in the form of a flight voucher. I don’t fly AA often and don’t really want the value of the ticket locked up with AA that I may not use for a while. Is there anyway to get that refunded back to either my card, or my bank directly? Some ideas I’ve come up with besides calling and asking, is to book a flight that is more then the voucher and then trying to refund all back to my card, but I don’t know if that will work....

Can I get your perspective if it is too early for me to jump? Started with two summer internships at the same company. Then I did an 8 month internship, followed by 1 year full time at PwC. Then I moved to KPMG FDD, have been here for 1.5 years. High rating yet I didn’t make senior this year so I am looking at my options, particularly since FDD has been incredibly busy.

Anyone ever experience a firm significantly misrepresenting a position they hired you for? I recently took a position with a firm to practice a specific type of litigation. Turns out the firm only has about 5 cases in that field and they are all already staffed up. Now I’m stuck at a firm I barely like doing work that’s completely irrelevant to my experience and career goals, and I feel like leaving within a year is a bad look resume wise

Where do you complete your CPEs after leaving the big 4?

MD: you have to find a formula that will take out spaces, extra dashes, exact match, and spellcheck at the same time. No manual work involve. Any excel formula masters because I'm confused.

Anyone know how to copy and paste mass amounts of data (formulas and text) from one workbook to another without creating external links?
