Advice for dealing with a micromanaging research lead? It’s pretty suffocating and it’s honestly killing my drive to work on this project

The first thing is to talk directly with your boss, the second thing is to present a report to the person above him. If you don't see an answer, you should not work under direct pressure, it can be taken as harassment.

smart

My recommendation is that several people from the team get together and talk to him about the same problem, if they go 1 by 1 he will not see his mistake.

It is best to discuss it with your boss, many times they are filled with stress and they express that stress by micromanaging the people on their team, that is, they stress the entire environment to feel better.

Demonstrate how he micromanages your processes and how uncomfortable it is, and show him in some way what he would feel if you did the same to him.

These types of people are the worst to work for, I really prefer a person who demands me all the time to a person who is closely managing everything I do, we are all supposed to be responsible for what we do, and no one should be micromanaging if an order already exists.

I want to switch role as an AWS developer. But I have just learnt the things on my own in AWS. In interview I am asked questions based on real scenarios on which I am not having any experience.

Any suggestions? Even if I do hands on on services like Linux academy or quiklabs, it would not help.
(AWS cloud migration experience one can get if worked on a real project). Please help.

Typical crazy time on project. Working everyday. How are folks keeping work/life balance to make sure there is time for family and the rest of your life? Feel like projects are setup to give as few resources as possible and make us work excessive hours for small pay raises and bonuses. Don’t want to use up all my good working years. Especially with aging in-laws/parents, teenage children to set a positive example for and a spouse that needs and deserves time. Looking for any valuable insights!

Folks, I've recently moved to the U.S. and healthcare here is a maze, even if I have health coverage through the job. I've been wanting to see a therapist and it feels like it is quite expensive to see one. I'm on a HDP PPO plan and essentially I was told I pay $250 a session till I spend ~$7000, and then insurance copay kicks in. Seriously at a loss if I'm missing something or if folks spend the same on seeing a therapist. I'm curious as to how a lot of folks are able to afford the price tag.
