“Experienced associate” is A2 and A3. That’s the title we give to “everyone who isn’t a first year freshly graduated associate”. Your A2 title seems to confirm that’s what you are. Yes PWC is on the cohort model. I’m unsure of what you are asking; everything seems to be in order based on your description.

Seems like he/she doesn’t understand why their offer says A1 and online says A2

Congrats on the raise

All associate levels are on the cohort model

Ok, thanks everyone. My question was if I needed to talk to HR (or even could) about fixing my salary since the salary I accepted was for an A1, but from the comments it seems like my pay will also be correct, regardless of what amount my offer letter states. Sorry my question was unclear

experienced associate is automatically "a2" and you would / should be paid the amount a2s are paid in your group. a1 is inexperienced associate - lower salary :) they didn't make a mistake no need to give yourself a salary decrease lol

Just to clarify A2 is a higher on the cohort than A1. You progress to higher numbers and then when promoted to Senior Associate you’d start at SA1 again and work your way up again.
