I’d encourage you to keep it top of mind in your meetings with your supervisor, but also look for your next opportunity. I believe most leaders understand getting a position and it not being the cultural fit you thought it was.

Agree, that you keep your job but look elsewhere, it’s okay to say I thought it was the right opportunity but it isn’t quite aligning with my aspirations and the vision they shared with me during hiring process.

Agree with the comments above. Don’t feel guilty for doing what’s best for your family. Deloitte will get rid positions impacting people without a second thought
If the firm values your leadership of these 9 people they will do what is right and make good on what was communicated. If not, the guilt should not sit with you. Your happiness should come first which includes feeling valued and having trust in leadership. Please prioritize yourself. The rest will come.
Ran out of space, but the outcome is that I’ve addressed it and there’s been no resolution or update. They seem very pleased with me, experience, work ethic, etc. but all I’m receiving is praise, not an increase in title/salary. I loved my last job and had to accept this circumstantially due to Covid & providing for my family. Day 1: team of 3, day 2: team of 4, day 4: absorbed a new team and a total of 9 reports. Addressed w/head of HR who’s my boss. I’m worried about quitting and continuing to apply bc I don’t know how my unemployment will be affected now that I’ve been doing this for 2 weeks and also worried about how to address w/other companies as I keep interviewing.
