This has been happening to me as well. So frustrating. I would keep applying and interviewing
Exactly!! I could not describe it any better. I am so over the interview process and burnt out going through 6 interviews and getting to the final round of numerous jobs and getting rejected. I recently took a couple days off to recoup but I know I need to hustle through it even though it sucks. We will find the right job/fit eventually. Can’t give up, a recession is coming and it will be 10x more difficult so now
is the time.
My husband had the same issue at the beginning of the year. It took him 5 months to land a new job. I know he was tired, frustrated and aggravated about the situation since “ we the people” were told there were jobs out there and businesses were hiring. The reality is businesses are being extremely picky and if they can get by with less people they are doing it. Throughout my sales career I really haven’t interviewed. I went through the formalities, however I got the job because I got referred to it by a current employee at the company. Sometimes it’s not necessarily what you know, but who you know. Try reaching out to friends and peers at other companies. Pick their brain and ask about hiring. Don’t be shy. That hidden job market does exist. Network, network, network. Find someone on LinkedIn at the company you want to work at and befriend them. Recruiters are challenging to befriend. Ask them how they got their job. There’s a lady on LinkedIn who helps women find their dream jobs. Her name is Carol Scott-Maloney. She has some amazing classes and some wonderful tips. Good luck.
Keep going. It's always great experience and you may get your name in front of your dream company, even if timing isn't right at this moment.
Keep going! It WILL happen.
I was on the same boat 3 months ago. Put on hiring freeze by 2 companies, but I now have 3 offers to choose from.
I’m in the same boat! Burning out so quickly. I’ve been doing multiple rounds of interviews for great companies only to be told they’ve paused hiring with no further information.
Ugh I feel you. I wish we knew when the hiring freeze will be over.
In the same boat as you. Multiple rounds, being told I did an amazing job and that I’m the top candidate and was then ghosted by one and put on a hiring freeze for the other company. Trying to keep my head up, didn’t realize it would be so hard or have to jump through so many hoops.
I was out of work for 5 months. I interviewed a lot. Sometimes 3 interviews a day, and so many hoops to jump through. I finally found a good fit, and for a company that only required 3 30 minute interviews before I got an offer!
Why don’t you consider working for yourself since all these companies pause hiring? Maybe it’s a sign…
What type of sales roles are you going after? Where are you located? Curious because this is not the experiences that I’m hearing in tech sales
What experience are you hearing? I’m in tech sales and this is what I’m experiencing too.

Sounds so familiar! Keep at, you can survive this! It is taking me a long time as well but I know there are more jobs than people for them.
I’m in the same boat as well. I was interviewing at my dream company, past the first round, and then they went into a hiring freeze. I was applying aggressively between that time and had a mix of people ghost me or tell me the role was paused. When my dream company circled back, I thought, “this is it” but throughout the interview they harped on my lack of industry experience so now I feel defeated all over again. I think if we keep at it the right job will come in time, hang in there. At least that’s what I’m telling myself.
Ugh this is happening a ton lately. I am so sorry to hear that. Hang in there.
