TPG just posted about Spain - https://thepointsguy.com/news/spain-booster-restriction/
Thank you!
No PCR required for entry
If it's been >270 days since your booster, you'll need to get a second booster.
Hi! We are also going to Spain this summer and my reading from what United said was that we needed a SpTH Health Control Form, but no PCR since we were vaccinated and had proof. Where did you see the need for a PCR?Regarding the booster timing, I had a similar question.
I saw something confusing on an EU site about PCRs needed for entry. Also just kind of concerned about the booster date because I had it back in November. Thinking I might just go ahead and plan for PCRs both ways.
Reading US government guidance (https://es.usembassy.gov/covid-19-information/)
“Vaccines are valid from 14 days after the last dose up to 270 days. If more than 270 days (9 months) have passed since receiving the last required dose of their COVID-19 vaccine, U.S. citizens must show proof of having received a booster shot. The booster shot certificate is valid since the day it was administered.”
It seems the 270 day rule only applies to the first two doses, NOT the boosters!
I def misread that, thanks!
I m from Spain, controls at the border are a joke, but as a National I need a QR code, you should check if you need that too (it takes 5 minutes). You don’t need a PCR, just to have at least 2nd dose
