If you filed I-485 are you in status if you quit or are laid off and have enough time to basically find a new job until you get your interview? Im trying to understand what happened in the days when eb based gc didn’t require an interview and someone was laid off
What is the typical salary increase for a lateral move? I'm currently at $128k as an Associate Strategy Director (been in role for 2 years) and interviewing for the same role with another shop. What should I expect and what should I ask for?
What to do when HR for an in-house role sends you an email with four interviews set up for next week without having had a phone conversation first? I have no sense of what the salary is for this role. I do not want to waste my time or the time of the four people I am scheduled to interview with. I thought that with most in-house roles, there would be a conversation about that first to make sure everyone is on the same page. 😩
A few years ago I landed an interview at W+K to for their lead social role. I didn’t get it. The guy who did was just promoted to…ECD of W+K in Portland. I work at a third-rate digital agency reporting to our head of strategy in a big network making boring decks for boring clients.
I’m interviewing for two jobs. Have an offer at Wells Fargo who is waiting for me to decide. Had a two great interviews at EY which sounds promising- and think I would prefer that role. But no offer yet. Do I tell the recruiter? I don’t want to miss the Wells offer if nothing comes thru for ey.
Has any MD, Partner or leader fired a client? I was thinking about my last consulting gig and the main client treated the women on the project like dogshit (many of them crying in their cubes) and how the senior leaders just shrugged their shoulders.
To those of you who were laid off- would you consider taking a job at a lower level? Do you think this is career suicide?
What do you do when someone asks for a referral but sends you a crappy resume? Irrelevant experience, inconsistent tense, differing POV, grammatical errors, etc within their bullet points.
Hey Fb friends - need an advise. My current firm hasn’t stated my GC process yet and with current processing time it appears to be somewhere around 12-15 months time to get PERM approved. In addition my current firm needs leadership approval & they make me sign a reimbursement form in case I quit. On other hand, I have approved i40 from my ex-employer (Big4) who fired me last fall, I don’t know if they will hire me back. Since I am from India and the date of filing appears like going to be…cont.
Was lucky to get a job shortly after being laid off. Work’s not hard but feeling burned out cause of bad process, meaningless jobs on top of the pointlessness of everything happening. How you coping?
Should I take a 15% pay cut and leave Accenture for industry? Or wait it out to find a better paying opportunity? Worried about chargeability and layoffs, hate the process of getting staffed. Wondering if it's worth it though for such a big drop.
About to be promoted and moving to a new position laterally for 70k+bonus and good wlb. Verbally committed a year to the position and am training. Have the option to move to a boutique firm for almost double the pay doing similar but will likely work long hours and burn a bridge with the current employer. No brainer?
What have you seen people fired for at your agency/ies? (This is meant to give some lessons for others on here)
Seeking FL mid-level strategist for 8 week engagement starting immediately. Please have research experience and at least 3-4 years working in a strategy role. Nice to have: B2B or pharma experience. 100% remote.
Nothing can make me care anymore. I do the bare minimum and just wait for people to notice so I can get fired… I know I can do a better job but I can’t find the motivation at all, like what I’m doing just doesn’t matter. Existential crisis?

I feel im targeted due to my ethnicity .. When I raised my concern with HR I'm being threatened with PIP.. How do deal with it? I'm worried being fired.. Where as I been on my numbers for two years.....
Looking at the way people are laid off, utilization is just one part of it. It's so hard to pin point what is (proper consultants let go from projects, etc..)

Why do I feel sad/nervous/anxious about my last day? I’m going to a great firm but also feel so sad about breaking up with my current firm. Anyone else? Lol.
Wondering if any of you typically get a holiday gift for the Exec you support, and if you do, what do you typically gift them?

Working in Tokyo and the only American/consultant. Unlimited expense account. Consulting lottery?
Does anyone here work at NextEra Energy Resources in Florida? I’m going to apply to an Associate Data Scientist position there? How is the company culture? What is your experience like there?
Can anyone speak to culture and lifestyle in the VC/EM groups at WSGR and Perkins Coie? Considering a lateral move as a junior. Very unhappy at my firm but I do have it good hours-wise by biglaw standards doing lender-side finance.. nervous about going to a total sweatshop.
Have been offered a 47% hike and a position jump to Senior Consultant in the Workforce Advisory Team. Currently, a Consultant at Deloitte USI with 3 YOE and total CTC of 15 lpa. Is it worth it?
Is there anyone else out there who keeps getting ghosted by agencies after interviewing for jobs? I've been applying to jobs for months. I've constantly been changing my approach and techniques. Yet I keep getting ghosted by agencies - sometimes even after I reach out asking for an update. I guess I just gotta assume that my acceptance email got lost and move on. 😂
Anyone have information on Williams Mullen?
Anyone here work at fundrise? Been working at a REIT and looking to pivot. Lots of job openings at fundrise have caught my attention but not sure which group I’d be the best fit.
1st time on the bench in 3 years. Check out demand portal: "wtf is this shit?" No wonder everyone is unstaffed and getting the boot.

New AWMA... curious to know what a reasonable salary expectation is and what the growth looks like for an associate within a growing ensemble. For context, background is more analytical, taking CAIA level 2 in a couple weeks, then plan on pursuing CFA.
Hello Fishes, Me and my friend are urgently looking for a job switch. Yoe: 2.9 years. Looking to switch in any production support or PLSQL domain. Can work in shift also. Been getting huge waves of not wanting to work because I know I’m only in it for the money. Except that doesn’t even feel worth it anymore. Just started a new project that isn’t interesting, but is chargeable. Need some advice from fellow fishes. Oh, to add on, I had a vacation planned for Santorini earlier in April, but was cancelled due to COVID. 😭
