Advice needed: Trying to just set it and forget it on current portfolio. Thoughts on this for long-term (20+ yrs)? 50% VOO 15% QQM 20% VTI 5% QQJ 5% SLY 5% MDY

Don’t know what qqm is. I see no point in holding 5 percent of anything. I would not hold both VOO and VTI. To summarize, why are you doing this? Just do 100% VTI. I would add international like vxus unless you have it elsewhere

You’re missing international, so pick up VXUS. And I would just pick either VOO or VTI and not both. Since it looks like you want small and mid exposure, I’d pick VTI. If you still want to keep additional exposure to small and mid cap, swap out SLY and MDY for VO and VB (they have significantly lower expense ratios). Better advice would be just pick VTI and VXUS in 80/20 or 70/30 and never think about it again.

As others have said... no point trying to "diversify" any further when you're already buying into gigantic broad-market index funds. Just stick to a few. My portfolio is something like 90% in either VTSAX or VBTLX. And the rest, duh, in GME and Dogecoin

You’re way overweighting large cap, especially tech, and 10% SLY/MDY doesn’t fix that. Just consolidate everything you’ve listed here into VTI. As others have pointed out, you need international exposure, both for diversification and returns. Most capital markets forecasters are projecting higher returns for international (especially EM) than US, due to lower valuations. You can use VXUS for this. Or, if you want to combine VTI + VXUS into one fund and not bother rebalancing yourself, you can go 100% VT.

Brokerage. Not retirement accounts which is 3 fund heavily weighted to US total stock market

Lol y’all unnecessarily complicate this. Are you just trying to show off that you know a lot of index funds

I work in insurance defense and we are getting slammed as far as workload and have been for some time. It’s nice because I haven’t had to beg for billable work and always hit my goals. My question is whether this has been the norm at other insurance defense firms. My other question is how other states are dealing with COVID restrictions on jury trials. Has anyone tried anything during the pandemic?

MBB or VC? -VC is a name brand but smaller early stage investor (definitely not Sequoia/A16z; $500M assets) -Post-MBA level at both. Data science at both if it matters (data science consultant at MBB; data science expert running DD/value creation at VC) -Comp yr 1 is same, but upward trajectory at VC is way less set in stone -I find the space the VC plays in interesting but I am not dead set on staying there or VC in general. Am a little worried about "wasting" 2 yrs if I reapply to MBB anyway
