Has anyone moved from a big 4 strategy and transactions role to MBB strategy? If anyone has advice on how to make the jump at a manager level - any advice would be appreciated.
Are there any skills or certifications that would matter as a manager, if we're applying to MBB?

Agency-side vs brand-side
Which is better and why?
You can absolutely do it. Depending on your discipline (account, creative, media, analytics, social, etc.), you should search throughout the FB Agency Bowl on this general topic. It has been covered extensively & you’ll find a lot of very useful perspective. The trade offs & the efforts required are discussed.
One foundational point is that you have to be quite determined to make the transition vs just interested if an opportunity pops up. That will make the effort it is going to take seem like not so much of a chore & more of an investment in a new path.
What MP1 said above is great feedback for you. I’ve found the account service and analytics functions tend to transfer the most as those parallel more clearly on the brand side, but that is not a rule, just what i’ve seen the most, albeit I’ve seen about all agency functions can find a path over.
Make sure you really search yourself for the *why* behind your interest in the transition. The grass is not always greener, and I’ve found it be to be just a different set of headaches... maybe those are better headaches for you, maybe not. I still miss the agency world... I was account service but loved working with creatives, and the “edge” of the business. But now my hair is a little to grey to be welcomed back into the agency world.
Good luck in your journey!
Hi! Would you be able to elaborate on this more "I’ve found the account service and analytics functions tend to transfer the most as those parallel more clearly on the brand side"
