Make sure you don't forget to do it.
Really, though... 2 weeks is all you owe, be appreciative, it's a small world.
Write a short resignation letter, put it in an envelope and walk into the office. They'll know what's going on. Hopefully you'll be able to give 2 weeks, you're not obligated to give more.
I just went through this process last week. Good luck, might be little nerve wrecking if this is your first time but don't stress over it. Good luck!
They might ask what it would take for you to stay. (Salary bump / promotion.) Be prepared to answer that question
2 weeks is optional. Do what you have to for your best interest. If it permits, give 2. If not, the agency will be just fine... They're a business and you're an individual always keep yourself first.
Remember it’s business - no need to apologize for making a decision, but stay professional because everyone’s paths ultimately cross again
Most people will be happy for you. But Some people (even those you may respect) night try and tell you various ways that you are making the wrong decision. Do not listen to those people.
The first time always make a huge scene. Be loud and throw some things around like mugs and keyboards. Leave immediately while giving the people gawking at you both fingers.
Burn no bridges. Don't tell HR anything someone might hold over you. Good luck at your new gig!
Remember to be professional for your remaining time there
