I am a senior digital marketing student currently weighing my options for a job out of school. My past experience had been in a variety of different areas in the marketing field however I am very interested in product management. Is it possible for someone in this position to get into a product management role post grad?

Mid level Electrical Engineer in the greater Baltimore, MD area making $115k base w/ $20k sign on bonus. No yearly bonus. I started this job in April of this year. 2-3 years experience. When I onboarded they told me to expect promotion to EE III in about a year. Had my performance review August 3rd. My boss could tell I was upset about a messily 5% raise after getting my degree etc. (recent post). He asked what range I’d like to be in, and I responded in a fashionable matter by comparing median salaries in the area. He said he would try and get me in that range. But has taken over a month to “think” about it. There shouldn’t really be much to think about? Either he wants me or he doesn’t, right? At this point I’m losing money and and motivation.
