After much talk with my boss (female), in Q1 I will very likely be promoted to senior copy strategist and will oversee the SOW for our copywriting team & product research team. As a young woman with a desire to grow and learn as much as possible but no experience in a leadership role in this industry, do you have any nuggets of advice? 😊

I am thinking about switching from teaching sixth grade English to middle school ESL next year. I am weighing the pros and cons for each position. Has anyone else made the switch from English to ESL? If so, how does the workload compare? Do you have any other thoughts about making this change? Thank you for the advice!
Yesterday i gave interview to TCS. today i got mail like this(check attached image). Does it mean interview cleared? If yes what will be the next step.
I just received my talent outcome yesterday, my salary increase is 4%, so my annual gross is around 65-66k €, Is that an average salary of a consultant here in NL? Or I am in the lower bracket? I am at level 9 and I have 11 years in the industry.
Interviewing for Director role at an unknown fed consulting firm with 80M in revenue/250 employees. What should I expect/negotiate as far as profit sharing, commission sharing for winning work?
Hey everyone! I recently graduated this past December and started my current role January 24th. Just this morning I had a recruiter from Meta reach back out to me about a role I applied too last month. Should i schedule an interview with the recruiter? What if it goes well? Would it look bad if I quit my current position to take this role if I end up getting an offer? One reason I would want to switch is because the pay would most likely be a lot higher at Meta then in my current position.
I am currently looking for another job. I don’t feel appreciated at my job. Daughter birthday coming up. I just want to work for Apple honestly. But the positions are not hiring any more. Any one know what I can do for that. I applied to so many apps. I got technical support experience. And customer service experience remotely.
Hey y'all! Currently a month away from finishing a design internship at a studio I really love. I DEFINITELY want to stay full time and need some advice on how I can make that happen. They mentioned during my interview that they were looking for interns that they'd wanna hire full-time, but I know that doesn't guarantee it. Is this something I have to bring up to them or will that be awkward? And how would you go about doing it? Will they let me know? Appreciate any advice anyone has!
Any recommendations for PE interview course/resources? Currently prepping for the investment team. Thanks in advance! 😄

Was just given an offer for 120k in SF with bonus target of 20%. The HR head delivered it via VC and asked for my thoughts. I first asked for a relocation bonus and then a base closer to 130k.
Hi all - any tips/what are some Do’s and Don’ts for in-house interviews for big NASDAQ or FAANG companies? TIA!
Any luck with work appropriate top/bottom combos that hide the bump? Flowy dresses aren’t appropriate in my office. Maybe maternity leggings, tunic top, blazer, booties? If you have any specific item links that’d be super helpful!

FINALLY saved up enough for a Leica kit - I was very excited for the CL - but the shop suggested the Q2 as a really great travel camera, and now I’m not sure what to get. Anyone here shoot Leica? I’m looking for a simple to use, compact travel camera. I love the lens -swap on the CL (one day want to own an M and SL kit) - but the Q2 has me thinking…
I went through the final interview for Microsoft this week. HR reached out today to set up a 15 min convo. Could this be good news and be an offer?!
I'm one of 3 learning strategists at my school. However, I'm the MAIN strategist that cover for absent teachers. I just finished taking over a grade until it was filled with a new teacher. Admin works closely with the other 2. I'm not included in any school data/presentation to help the new teachers on staff. I believe the other strategists are working against me. They are assigned classes when I'm not available. The union says it's at the principal's discretion. What would you do?
Netflix is removing Lilyhammer, their first original :( It was SO GOOD. Did you like it?
I’m currently looking to build a career within the ESG consulting and strategy space. I am in a career transition phase and have a tax consultancy background from a Big 4 for 5+ years. However, I believe I have gained some skills that are transferable to ace at ESG consulting as well. While I am still in the process of upskilling myself and gaining the required knowledge, could you help me with referring my CV or with some leads?
What are other decent agencies in KC if you want to stay in Account Management mid-senior level?
On a vendor call today and he simply did not listen to me. He pulled his "I've got 30 years experience" card and "I wouldn't have done it like this if it was wrong" and would not listen (continued)
Currently my wify's package is 7.5 LPA at Capgemini as SAP ABAP developer and with overall experience of around 5.5ys.She has cleared all technical rounds in Accenture and having HR round in next week.how much she should asks for package?why I'm asking this because she was selected to the same Accenture in 2019 and at that time she asked 80 percent hike and for that reason the profile was kept on hold and eventually joined Infosys at that time
If my company is deducting tax on reimbursements for example relocation, flight travel, mobile usage, etc. Then how to show in tax filing? bcoz as per my understanding it should not be taxable as I am using my money and company is refunding and no extra income. Any ladies purchase their dream home while single? I’ve been holding off from buying my dream home thinking I’d wait until I had an SO to share this significant expense- however, I’m getting tired of holding off and I’m in a position to buy. Any advice on dealing with a mentally unwell person who refuses treatment? My sister has seen several therapists but stops going or taking her medication randomly. A family friend who is a psychiatrist has unofficially diagnosed her with a personality disorder and potentially bipolar. She is wildly unpleasant to be around, the things she says and does are cruel. She ruins all holidays and family gatherings. My mom has had to start seeing a therapist and taking meds to cope (Cont).
This is a bit of an odd one but does anyone in this bowl have Lipoedema? Not lymphedema, Lipoedema. If so, what sort of doctor was able to give you a formal diagnosis. If you didn’t come from a quant background, how did you get over analytics anxiety? What are ways for me to safely learn and practice my excel/modeling/quant communication skills? I’m always beating myself up (and making errors) when doing analytics on a time crunch.
I also worry about how I could be perpetuating gender stereotypes by being the girl on the team who is “more qualitative than quantitative.” For context, my background before consulting was nonprofits.

Does it bother you when someone you care about won't let you treat them (like on special occasions such as birthdays and stuff)? I don't know why it's upsetting me so much, and I'm trying to figure out what the root of my issue is. I'm getting overly emotional about it. It makes me feel like I'm making it about me vs. them, which is not what I want to do at all. On the contrary, I want them to enjoy whatever I treat them to, but this is all backfiring because I can't control my emotions.

I’ll preface this by recognizing that it’s a very privileged concern to have, but is it wrong to hide my family’s wealth from my friends? Grew up middle class but through a recent job at a startup my dad is now a multimillionaire. My lifestyle hasnt changed at all — I don’t get any money/big gifts from my family, I pay all my own bills, and my fam is still extremely frugal. But obviously, I have HUGE privilege — I feel deceitful going along w friends’ convos about aspiring to be wealthy one day

How do you deal with a new manager sending passive aggressive messages on Teams (e.g. asking rhetoric question sinstead of saying what he expects, "...", "well do xyz")
He is French so it might also be a cultural thing?

The rule I go by is to never ask about the salary range until the recruiter or hiring manager asks me first.
Usually salary expectations are brought up in the phone interview so be prepared with your game plan.
The recruiter will probably end the call by asking you your comp expectations. Given the job description you can probably place the role in a $50k range. If it’s asking for a master’s degree, always add $10-25k more.
I would lead with the bottom of what you’re willing to accept then add another $30-50k to create your range.
Thank you. I came from industry and going back to industry, it sounds crazy to ask for that much money. I think you’re right, I just have a mental block and feel like I’m going to get laughed out of consideration. I also know I am qualified and can do the job, so trying to find data to support what I’m asking. Thanks for your help.
