Advice please- I have a phone interview for an industry role. Title is a bit ambiguous so I’m not clear what level the role is or what comp range should be. Of course I have questions ready for the interview, but do I ask the recruiter about the comp range in the first interview? I’ve always heard conflicting advice on this. I’m at a point where it’s not worth making a move unless it is a step up & pays significantly more but also don’t want to eliminate myself if there’s room for negotiation.

Hey everyone! I recently graduated this past December and started my current role January 24th. Just this morning I had a recruiter from Meta reach back out to me about a role I applied too last month. Should i schedule an interview with the recruiter? What if it goes well? Would it look bad if I quit my current position to take this role if I end up getting an offer? Any advice on dealing with a mentally unwell person who refuses treatment? My sister has seen several therapists but stops going or taking her medication randomly. A family friend who is a psychiatrist has unofficially diagnosed her with a personality disorder and potentially bipolar. She is wildly unpleasant to be around, the things she says and does are cruel. She ruins all holidays and family gatherings. If you didn’t come from a quant background, how did you get over analytics anxiety? What are ways for me to safely learn and practice my excel/modeling/quant communication skills? I’m always beating myself up (and making errors) when doing analytics on a time crunch.

I also worry about how I could be perpetuating gender stereotypes by being the girl on the team who is “more qualitative than quantitative.” For context, my background before consulting was nonprofits.

Does it bother you when someone you care about won't let you treat them (like on special occasions such as birthdays and stuff)? Grew up middle class but through a recent job at a startup my dad is now a multimillionaire.
