Is LinkedIn premium worth it?
It couldn’t hurt to interview..!
Since it seems that they are extremely interested in having you join, use this as leverage. Ask for exactly what you want in terms of your schedule, remote work, pay?! If they can’t meet you based on these requirements, then maybe it’s not meant to be.
Thanks! That’s exactly what I was thinking, but since I wouldn’t be interested in going into the office until next fall, I didn’t want to waste their time now, but I also want to keep that door open.
Literally, you cannot lose. Do it. This can also build your confidence if you go in with all your wants laid out and see whether they would match them and more.
Pro
Benchmark your skills. Get an assessment of your current value. Learn what they are hiring for and what you want to work on between now and next year. If they hand you sacks of money, take it.
Rising Star
No need to make a decision until you have an offer in hand. Go interview. Get an offer. Negotiate seriously for what u want. A lot can change during the offer stage. You’d be surprised with what you ask for and get it.
+ If you get a better offer and want to stay in your current role, you now have leverage with them to negotiate a better deal!
Really, it seems the ball really is in your court.
