Already have 2 offers from Amazon and Goldman Sachs, Still interviewing in Microsoft and Ninjacart. On notice period. Every day getting call from different companies offering 20 lpa base without negotiation. One of them even ready for around 30lpa base. I was laughing. I have around 10 months experience. This great resignation is anything but over.

Things have changed now. companies offering package as per experience and techstack. Most of the companies holding offer letter so that candidate would not able to get next counter offer more than they are offering. Senior managers rejecting salary approvals. I am facing the same issue having 6 offers but still companies not exceeding more than their budgets even after knowing I am a immediate joiner.
try in a company who has higher salary range. All the above companies are not high salary payers.
Hiring is still in full swing, however dont join startups , riaky in current financial situation.

Epam has specific case as Russia, Belarus and Ukraine effect. They have more than 35k+ employees there. That's why they ramped up hiring in India.

OP I mean agreed, but if you look at the past general trend.
Whenever there's a slowdown/Recession in US economy, India have always benefitted in the long run.
2000 -Gave birth to WITCH.
2008 - Unicorns and Other US based major companies opened IDC's in India.
2020 - Gave a huge bump to Indian Salaries.
Fingers crossed for this one.
I don't think so this will be happening anytime soon. Because looking at the current Indian IT sector there are companies who are hiring the people from India. Because of this remote working environment people are getting more opportunities than ever.
It has already started, even Netflix and Meta has resorted to layoffs

Author : they are already giving . There is 3 years of vesting period for that . You get stocks after 3 years of joining. Also they provide very good overall package

But great resignation is not going over soon.
If I talk about my company then hiring is slow down from last year.
And of course it will be in every organization, as in 2020 there was lots firing happen , then in 2021 government try to boost the economy by giving funds on low interest and another factor of slowing down is ongoing 🇷🇺 🇺🇦 war.
When this war situation will over then again hiring will increase.
Remote jobs from other countries also gives flexibility so people will try to switch again.
Pre covid situation still has to come. Country like Canada, Australia, UK has open visa for other countries again. So atleast in India it will create lots of vacant spots.
Looking temporary to me. Keep learning in meaningful. If anybody getting opportunities grap it.

Historically speaking Recession/Unemployment is inversely proportional to inflation. You've mentioned otherwise.

I’m very much aware of the theory, it’s called philip curve, but it has failed multiple time including 1970s. The theories says, when unemployment is more , more people are employed, they buy more things and demand increases and so the inflation. But there are many situations when unimployment and inflation is correlated positively. What we’re seeing is not just inflation but we can call it “stagflation “. Oil prices are high, there is short supply of things due to Russia-ukrain war, there is supply chain issue due to china zero covide policy lockdown. How do you expect employment to go high in this situation?
Also if you read my post, it says about being careful while joining startups, and if you see the industry many startups have already started firing

I was working as senior service desk at Dxc technology there was a sudden call from manager to either take 3 months salary or go on pip so I chose for 1st option.
