I love my Global Classic chef’s knife. Sharpen it occasionally, and it’s been my kitchen bff for over 10 years.

Just got this set and they are great so far.

Def not the cheapest knives but I feel like if there’s one area to splurge when you cook a lot, it’s a good chef’s knife. I literally use mine everyday, and now with WFH, twice a day. I think it might be the only thing I haven’t replaced in my kitchen in the past 10 years.

Inflation costs are killing my pipeline. Many of my deals are scaling back greatly because of their rising operating costs.

How do we overcome the inflation objection? I mean obviously the answer is to show how much value we offer, but how do we do that when all of the companies we work with barely have enough funding?

They need our services, which is at least some job security, but their scale back is greatly affecting our projections and quota attainment.

Does anyone have the LegalBoard Keyboard? How do you feel about it? I’m specifically looking to buy it for a partner who’s been practicing for about 20 years, so I’m looking for any input/thoughts on that, I’m concerned she might not bother to learn to use the lawyer features since she’s been practicing so long, or that as a partner she doesn’t do much day to day drafting of legal docs that the features are useful for. I would appreciate any thoughts!!

Help! I did in-house work for years and then went to a firm; I’m in a Senior Associate purgatory and uncertain about my prospects (as well as whether I want to do the firm thing, generally). I’m considering going back in-house but I’m worried about missing the perks of the firm life, and also wondering if I’m just not being patient enough. Anyone been there? Advice?

He’s eating solids now. 🤣 This is an Ulster Fry, a typical Northern Irish breakfast aka heart attack on a plate: Fried eggs, fried potato bread, fried mushrooms, fried tomatoes, pork sausages, UK bacon, black pudding, and beans.

Would you eat this? First and last time, I took one bite of each, I could feel my arteries clog.

Harissa Sweet Potato Latkes with Spiced Yogurt, Mint and Pomegranate: My version of latkes is certainly not traditional. Caramelized sweet potatoes are infused with spicy harissa, extra kick from Aleppo pepper and cardamom in the yogurt sauce topped with refreshing mint leaves and pomegranate arils. Would Bubbee approve? Probably not. It’s still delicious and decadent that it can be enjoyed all year. From my tinyhappykitchen on Instagram.

Sotanghon Soup with Rotisserie Chicken and Shiitake Mushrooms: This is the Filipino version of Pho and Ramen. The secret ingredient is Annatto powder which gives its distinctive orange hue and a slight peppery and nutmeg flavor. I like mine super spicy and serve it with a healthy dollop of Sambal Oelek. Sotanghon is normally made with vermicelli mung bean glass noodles. All I had was rice vermicelli noodles so I did a Tim Gunn and “Made it work!”.
