Stressed. Sad. TIRED.

I’m cooking all weekend, best way I know to manage stress on my own.

Inspired by the incredible black chef Harold Sims IV, (who won on an episode of Cooking With Cannabis on Netflix, a great show) I’m looking to make some ethiopian food this weekend.

Any reccos or recipes? I’m def doing injera (fermented flatbread) and looking for a sampling of sides. 😋

Past few months, I’ve been somewhat considering moving to Hoboken… until I found out today that Winc can’t ship there? Apparently NJ caps certain wine producers based on size. Just seems odd… any other weird laws in Hoboken/NJ that I should be aware of?

(Please don’t judge me for getting wine shipped - the shops around me aren’t helpful with recommendations, and the wine is generally mainstream crap)

I'm hearing on the grapevine recently that there have been some serious payrises going on across MBB "post-COVID". Finding it hard to test the veracity of these claims though.

Sincerely, a T2 wondering if now is the right time. Haha.

Has anyone read any interesting books on how to approach QA?

On my team, software engineers end up creating test cases by writing up step-by-step guides for each ticket. QA employees follow these and innovate them where they can - but they ultimately need SEs to provide them A LOT.

This process seems dumb - the test cases disappear after the ticket is completed and I feel like QA isn't much of a professional role if they just follow guides provided to them.

Is there a better way?

I don’t see much middle eastern food on here - this is garniyarikh, a Turkish dish made by frying up eggplants, stuffing with browned ground beef and baking for 30-40 mins. I add smoked paprika to the beef which isn’t traditional but gives it a great flavor.
