How close did you get to MBB and what did you you eventually get dinged on? Where are you now? (just got the L after curveball Q threw me off in one of the final rounds; looking for people who were in similar shoes 😭)
Just joined Deloitte in July out of UG, but want to make move to MBB. Is it a good idea to start applying right away or do I need more experience before making the jump?
How impacted are summer ‘20 internships for current students? Any cancellations or still moving forward at FAANG, F100, and MBB/B4?
Can anyone speak the the human capital practices at their firm? I'm currently in HC consulting and want to continue working in the field, but not sure what opportunities there are in MBB.
Looking for a Spring 2020 internship opportunity in MBB. I’d love to know more about the kind of opportunities and get any leads accordingly. Any advice would be appreciated.
MBB in Singapore, are you still recruiting foreigners that need an EP or is it only Singaporeans/PR now and for the foreseeable future? Would be interested to apply as an experienced hire.
Is it better to wait until promo before switching to other firms? Applying to MBB but worried that if I get the offer I’ll end up switching right before I get my promo from Deloitte. I would likely reset to entry level at MBB either way but the pay would be a substantial bump from my current pay (even after promo). I’m in my second year at Deloitte out of undergrad.
From talking to students at multiple M7 schools, it seems like all of the BB/MBB/FAANG companies recruit at most if not all of the schools . So if you're planning on recruiting for one of these, is there really a major difference in career opportunities between each school? Asking because it seems like some schools are specifically known for finance vs consulting vs tech, but if the companies are all recruiting at all these schools, the differences don't seem as pronounced to me.
What are tips for moving as an experienced hire from non-MBB to MBB? Heard M does not really hire off cycle for traditional consulting...
Have tier 2 M&A strategy offers on the table and interested in exploring MBB. Any fish willing to chat??
To those in non-MBB: Would you rather have an offer in hand right now for MBB or FAANG pm? Assume it’s a lateral transition.
Are there any examples of former Black consultants making it to C-Suite at a company? In business school, they say MBB is the C-suite factory but has this been true for Black people in the C-suite?
Been in MBB for about six month, I can’t seem to get use to the 65-70 hr work weeks 😣 even an easy day leaves me exhausted. Anyone else feel this way?
Tuck vs Ross ($$) goal is MBB or big tech
What's the earliest in someone's tenure you've seen them fired from MBB and why? (Looking for validation that the feeling like I'm doing a sub-par job, but trying to be coachable, 7 months into my job doesn't equate to getting fired in the next 5-17 months...)
If you’re a non-MBB consultant without a top GPA or top 10 undergrad, do you basically have 0 chance at HSW? Curious of the profiles of those who made it with these factors.
At a B4 now. I want to stay in consulting. Should I be considering any other firms besides MBB and T2?
Need some advice - been at the D for a year and have been on the same implementation project for over a year. Have a technical background and am thinking of starting to look for exits to industry but also am curious what strategy projects are and if I would be interested in the work. Is it worth networking onto a strategy project at the D or should I just continue to look for industry exists and then go b school and then try for MBB/T2 ?
As a staff on the consulting side, does anyone else find it awkward to join a zoom call with the client before the manager/sm joins in?
How is the culture and WLB at pwc? Would be in health payer tech consulting at SA level.

Recruiter asking for compensation expectations on email; how do you respond. It is a niche industry role and I have freakin no idea what they pay for the role and level
Zillow as the exit opportunity? Product Manager role. Yay/Nay? Not considering $$ for now. Just based on culture and future growth prospects?
Someone want to explain how everyone in consulting can be this duped... we accept promotions for more responsibilities without knowledge of compensation... that literally doesn’t happen anywhere else. How dumb are we? Ps. I don’t count myself, I’ve never taken a promotion without jumping firms :) though plan on doing it next year - as SM
Baby blues!! Had my baby like a week ago and I'm scared of the future ahead. I have these thoughts about taking life insurance of huge amount and end my life. I don't want to be a bad mom! Contd .
any good companies/firms that are pretty flexible with remote work in the before times? Marketing/sales ops experience.
Hi everyone! I’m a young CPA, relocating to Raleigh. I made the decision to transition into sales after realizing that I want to bring more fun into my career. I’m currently reading sales books, watching Keenan’s YouTube channel, and learning all I can. I’m relentlessly applying for SDR positions but I’m having trouble landing interviews (been applying through LinkedIn). I would appreciate advice from anyone who transitioned from another industry into sales. How did you break the barrier?
Self-directed IRAs. So many questions! Have any of you ever tried a self directed IRA? I’m thinking about it in relation to investing in a company (to the tune of 150-200k) or possibly purchasing a vacation property as an investment in a location we’d like to retire (if I did that, could we use it to vacation personally occasionally in the meantime? Even if we needed to pay the IRA for the rental?) Thoughts? Warnings?
What industry has the most excitable culture? I'm not talking about working until 2AM as a norm for perfect decks. Rather, what industry has the most people who get so amped they'll go overtime all the time just cause, without an expectation that everyone always grinds in the name of a deliverable they know is trivial. My hunch is tech startups, maybe traders, but idk... Asking consulting bowl cause no one else gets as much cross-industry exposure. And hey, maybe consulting still wins out!
