After 14 years of working and comfortably sitting in a management role, is it advisable to quit and do Masters in UK/ US? Tuition fees from my own pocket.

Its extremely difficult to move to these countries for Project Management roles.

Agenda behind this:
1) To move abroad (UK post study visa is 2yrs and US almost nil)
2) Career shift from Management to Data science.

Has anyone done it? Pls share your wisdom.

There’s no need to make such a move. Berkeley and Johns Hopkins have online data science degrees as do several other top tier schools.

It feels like everyone has gotten so down on advertising. You can still make great work for great brands at great agencies. You can still do things you’re proud of. And fill your portfolios with beautiful things. And have great impact. And collect shiny awards and enjoy great after parties after it. And see your commercials on TV during the Super Bowl. It’s still a great way to make a living if done right. And craft services is still tasty. You just have to make the right career moves.

I have an interview with Korn Ferry for an associate principal role and am curious about others’ experiences have been with work-life balance here. Also, I have an idea of what I should be compensated in this type of role, but any insights on how they pay compared to others would be helpful. Are you traveling during the pandemic or have client interactions been virtual? Lastly, if you are a consultant here, are you on billable hours? My current consulting role is not - so this would be new.

I am an incoming associate (awaiting bar results). I have already begun working as a law clerk and am already being given plenty of tasks to fill my time, which I’m grateful for. I am also fortunate to be in working in an area of the law that is personally fulfilling to me, so a lot of the work I do doesn’t feel like work. Here’s the thing: I do my absolute best. I give polished, clean work, and I always give my personal best. However, it seems like a lot of the tasks I do always get sent back..
