After 25 years as an Ultrasound Technologist, the company that I work for is no longer a place that is appreciative or supportive and doing what they can to cut hours, etc. I’d like to move on to another company or even another Healthcare related role, just as long as it is a happy, appreciative one. Though all of the search engines provide listings, hoping that y’all know a better means, or better, yet, word of mouth of such positions. I am on the border of MD, PA & DE so any are acceptable

Look into the clinical trials industry! Companies and CROs are always looking for individuals with imaging backgrounds to assist in trials.

I've loved working in larger hospitals. They typically have a large staff of ultrasound technologists and other medical professionals, so there is always someone available to answer questions or provide support, which is so vital.

That means a lot coming from a Nurse, truly. Thank you for your kind words.

Echo here, it’s kinda hard to get into clinical trials. Everyone I’ve spoken to wanted trials experience, even the research I do with cardiac didn’t help. There a lots is openings available with device companies, some require travel and some don’t. I’m in the process of putting that type of information together for my sono peeps. What type of ultrasound did you do?

Ok, I’m trying to stay in imaging but out of patient care. I’ll look up some positions later and send to you.

The grass is not always greener, my friend. My 35+ years in Healthcare have seen steady erosion in benefits, increasing work load, and reduced quality of life akin to indentured servitude. More and more of the "replacements" comes from ex - armed forces personnel which loves the low industry pay but higher than what they are used to, crazy hours, lower quality but higher "productivity", meeting the numbers
no matter what, takes orders unconditionally, etc... The new managers all comes out of the same management schools that use the same cookbook so no matter what company you go to, you will hear the same manage-speak buzzwords and same fatalistic expectations. You either can try to find 3rd party providers which are more lucrative but less stable or stick with established providers that treat you as dime a dozen... Work on your plan B and when it's time, don't hesitate to cash in your chips. Best of luck.

Appreciate the advice of a Physician. I’m super close with my Radiologists (who are at another remote location), but they feel the same, frustrated feelings that I do. Hubby is retiring in a month, and at this point, I just want to get into a Gov’t job with good benefits, even if that means leaving my beloved Healthcare in the rear view mirror. Thank you for your words of encouragement. I truly appreciate every word.

I’ve been interviewing with Google since July. Passed the first interview but the team I was matched with ended up hiring someone else. Recruiter told me that she will let me know if any other opportunities arise as I’m still in the running and haven’t been rejected. I know that interviewing with google is a long process but I’m worried the longer I wait the more likely I will be rejected or just never hear back. Anyone else in this situation? How long until you got an offer?

Really looking for some genuine support and advice from you all out there. I want to switch careers from PA - Big4 Audit to completely different. I am not talking about going in industry or other accounting / finance related jobs. I am thinking on lines of getting some small franchise, flip houses, real estate agent, manager as Dunkin etc type of transition. I am okay not making big $. Please don’t say do what I am passionate about because clearly I don’t know what it is and I am in search of it

Hi all! I am going through my final interview next week for a role I am very excited for. It consists of 1 on 1 interviews with 6 of my potential colleagues, as well as a presentation. I’m interested in how to prepare for the 1 on 1 interviews… are there any specific questions I should ask? I also am a little anxious about the presentation. I haven’t had to present in person, let alone to a group of strangers in a while. Any tips on having confidence for this stage? Thanks all!

My new manager has treated me very poorly and blocking me from progression (promotion). I have worked at the company for near 5 years and am planning my exit. I took a job starting Nov 14. Is it unprofessional to give less than two weeks notice? I would be lying if I said I didn't want to put the under a bit of pressure by leaving unexpectedly.

I had a really weird interview for Creative Director today.

It’s a small startup. HR interviewed me and asked all the hard hitting questions (how do you get design inspiration, how do you deal with design roadblocks, what sets you apart for this role?) which I thought was odd for a screening interview.

They made some affirmative noises then said the next step would be a design test (one pager) which I would present to a panel of interviewers including the CMO.
Anyone else think this is odd?

I have seen many SAP ABAP professionals posted here that they had got offers from SAP Labs.
I have also noticed comparatively their CTC is on the higher side than the other tech stacks in a particular T level.

How is ABAP as a module? Why does it seem so important to SAP Labs? What is the future scope? And what do you think about it? Please share your opinion, anything you can write.

I am an SAP Basis guy and am thinking of learning ABAP also side by side. Cause I think Basis is dying.
