After a bunch of poor options performance, through patient and risk averse stocks, slowly built up my profits to cover my previous losses. Happy to become green pretty soon after more than a year of wallowing in red.

PS the big dip wasn't me, it was COVID. I cut my losses 2 dips before then.

What was it about your options that caused you to perform poorly?

Only mistake you made was betting against Elon! TSLA calls only go up 😂

A lot of us lost money during covid! My portfolio was down 40%. Better investors than me lost more than that depending on their exposures to certain sectors. My portfolio has mostly recovered and then some. You’ll get back to green too!

How will custody work in that case? I want joint, but how do I take care of him alone with this job in the meantime?

Curious about thoughts on on discount points (I think I’ve already read every article on Google). I am refinancing my personal residence (future rental) as well as a rental property. The mortgage brokers discourage me from spending a ton on points (rolled in, not up front). In some cases, it’s a 16 year break even. I get that’s a very long time to break even, but I have no intention of getting rid of the properties and doubt rates will drop much below current. Max breakeven point for you?

How long is too long to wait for a raise? I've been waiting seven years and have had 2 title (and responsibility) promotions since the last raise. My manager says I deserve it and am long overdue. The CEO says we "can't afford it" and that "there are things that matter more than money." That's easy for someone not living paycheck to paycheck (during an inflation crisis) to say. I don't know what to do. How long is normal to wait? Especially with an employee's market like this?
