After a month of having to constantly ask about my onboarding, I finally was able to join. Now, it's been two weeks and no one seems to know how I get my laptop. With the support number I get an automated response of some mail I should have got which never came. I raise a ticket and they close it saying talk to the manager or onboarding advisor. There is no onboarding advisor and my manager asks me to go back to support. So, did I do something to offend the gods or is this hassle expected?

Figured I could ask this here…What strategies are being used to raise rent on your properties? First time I need to raise substantially and don’t want to come off too harsh, but the current RE market conditions warrants a significant increase in rent. Current tenants have been in my property for 3 years and I’ve only increased rent by 3% every time.

I need some serious advice. I have been working with a startup company for 3 years now and I have been apart of really important projects that our company now uses on a daily basis. I’ve asked for a raise after 2 people in my region quit-got denied and now the new position I created for myself is being given to an outside person (they’re still searching for this person, the role isn’t filled yet). My questions are these:

Thoughts on taking a temporary internal rotational? You can keep salary and promotion timeline, then back to the consulting side afterwards. Overall, seems the opportunity would help accelerate long-term career with the firm.

After 1.5 years at the company I realised I am well underpaid. I am well aware that it would be a long shot to ask for a big raise (20k), but at the same time I don’t want to change company for that reason. A career coach told me that with my qualification I could easily earn 40k more per year than what I do. It’s really frustrating knowing that some colleagues without previous work experience would earn more on day 1 than what I earn now. I was a tech consultant for 1.5 years before this. Tips?

Genuinely trying to decide on two career paths and it's one of the toughest decisions I've needed to make so far. Job A is a lateral move, but I'll be working for an amazing boss (great people manager) who is at a different site & puts so much trust into his team Job B *could* be an in-line promotion with my current boss who is a micro-manager and is driving so much of our current team away. An employee came to me in confidence to raise concern about a colleague of hers who speaks often about guns and how many he owns, etc. Based on what she's described, I don't believe this person has been threatened in any way, but it's clear that the situation is making her feel very uncomfortable - especially given recent events. How do you know if you’re going through a manic episode? My sister is bipolar but I’ve never struggled with any mental health issues other than anxiety/depression. Hi Fishes, So, I had joined kpmg a month back but I got a better offer from pwc so want to join PwC, I have already resigned from kpmg and to the hr I said I want to take care of my family and join family business as my reason for leaving. While filling the PwC Bgv form(by first advantage) they have asked for my Kpmg’s hr details. I am worried whether the hr (if contacted) may mention about my reason as family business, in that case, will my bgv fail with PwC?
