After getting certified in HCM core, what other certification should I purse? I have no workday experience and just starting my career

No amount of Certs will be helpful to you if you don’t know your way around a tenant. Get in there and build things to get more experience before thinking of any other certs. Good luck.

Our practice leadership likely already has you tagged for an additional cert based on staffing needs. If you have a particular area of interest, I would express that to your coach/RL sooner rather than later so they can help you move in that direction.

I have found that talent, learning and compensation require the least amount of HR knowledge. If you’re just starting out in your career and don’t have background functional knowledge these may be a good starting point. You’ll learn more regulatory information along the way. I previously worked in a payroll and benefits HR role and think trying to understand laws and regulations around those in addition to Workday configuration at the same time could be overwhelming. These are however probably the more sought after HCM certs in the job market.

Talent and Learning require Talent and Learning COE knowledge. I wouldn’t want to go to a Learning design session as the consultant and not know what a Bloom’s taxonomy is.

Reporting Certs are helpful to start to understand the relationships between different types of data

Security! I hate it when my functional leads have no damned clue about the security needed to enable their design.

Figure out what sounds interesting to you and look it up on community to see if it still sounds interesting. Keep going until something sticks...or ask your manager what needs they have where you can provide value (this may not be the path most suited to your interests though.)

Payroll, is better than gold right now if you can deal with it.
