After getting promoted in Feb 2020 (lol fml) I designed and implemented a significant piece of data infrastructure that is beyond what’s expected of someone at my level. In 2021, I was not recognized for this accomplishment and a guy who knows nothing about the technology was promoted over me. It’s been a year since his promotion & the wheels are starting to come off: others are becoming increasingly aware of his ineptitude. What’s the best way to subtly pour gasoline on this fire?

If I'm looking to get pre approved for a house and just got a raise how long do i need to wait after getting the raise to have the new number be considered my annual income? Do i need to wait to have a full year at my new salary?

After 1.5 years at the company I realised I am well underpaid. I am well aware that it would be a long shot to ask for a big raise (20k), but at the same time I don’t want to change company for that reason. A career coach told me that with my qualification I could easily earn 40k more per year than what I do. It’s really frustrating knowing that some colleagues without previous work experience would earn more on day 1 than what I earn now. I was a tech consultant for 1.5 years before this. Tips?

I got an offer in public accounting (advisory) making 31% more plus a bonus but I like the WLB my current job offers. However, i haven’t gotten a raise in 2 years (due to going to 2 new positions & being told I can’t negotiate more, basically take it or leave it). I am terribly underpaid in my current org at 5.5 LPA after a recent promotion and annual appraisal. Another mid size consulting firm offered me 7.5 LPA but I am asking them around 9 LPA. Wondering if I could reasonably negotiate a raise? My last raise was in 4/20, roughly a year and a half after I was hired. In 8/21 I completed my master’s degree. Is there a way to bypass the promotion policy of not being able to apply for jobs in 2 or more levels above your current level? Especially, if one joined the company at lowest level with over 8 years experience? Our CSM department is going through a major restructure right now. There has been a huge amount of turn over since the beginning of the year. Our managers have not given us any insight to what the new restructure will look like, they have also pushed out our annual raise conversations until the end of April. A lot of CSMs are leaving the company and it has me thinking maybe I should entertain other opportunities elsewhere as well. Has anyone else had an experience like this?
