Also interested. If you pass HC is your offer basically guaranteed unless rescinded?

I’ve never heard of it rescinded. I imagine one of the few scenarios is if you didn’t pass background check.
You have definitely take a day or two to think about the offer. You don’t have to respond immediately.

If you ask for something like about of band pay increase the request goes to a vp. I assume they may reject the request - not sure if they would rescind your offer though
Btw ...you can only negotiate equity and signing bonus. The rest of the items are pretty much set by an algorithm
+1 on not rescinding an offer unless something unlikely happened (e.g. decided to not hire for that role). You have the offer, they want to hire you. Now it’s your turn to tell them what they need to do to hire you and why.
Do they have an immediate need to hire someone in this role? Has the role been pulled off of the career page? If so, I would drag the negotiation out for as long as you can.
Delay responses to the recruiter, ask to meet 3-4 days from the time of communication, tell them you have to finish a final round at another company, etc. The longer they go without hiring someone, the more leverage you have. Going 2-4+ weeks without hiring someone can cost a company more than a 15% increase in pay, for example.
