I 100% felt like this until I found it. When I found it I finally understood what it was like when people say "do what you love". I always thought that was cheesy, unrealistic, abd a little condescending. I wasted years grinding at things I hated thinking that was what everyone else was doing. But then I found it. Keep looking.
And you're doing that at Deloitte? Didn't even know that was a possibility.

Also, @D7, I should say there were great things about each chapter and I’ve never felt like I was fully jumping ship from any of them as much as exploring the next way to advance my life (and preferring learning to working tbh but sadly finding academia to be full of much more navel gazing nonsense than I could tolerate when I dabbled in it during the writing phase), so I don’t want to be inadvertently discouraging :).
I don’t like it either. This post is therapeutic.

I tried stay at home mom for a year. It’s worse than a full time job. Didn’t like it. Not working, spending my millions and traveling could be interesting though. Just short a few mil.
I too hate working nonprofit, industry, consulting. Next career move housewife.

Software engineers: low hours, high pay, but just high learning curve up front
Low hours? 🤨 I can confirm my experience has been the opposite, but at least I enjoy what I do. But lower hours would be real nice..
