Curious to hear collective thoughts on a salary increase for an employee. 2 years of experience and looking for a raise of almost 10K and has only been with the company for a year.
On one had the employee has been instrumental in keeping business afloat during the pandemic and was awarded a 15% bonus at the end of last year.
The other hand, it seems like it may be setting a precedent of having such large increases YoY. Thoughts?
I’m a VP in PR at a large agency - and expect a promotion this month. Curious to get a quick pulse on what salaries people are seeing at the next level (which is a Group VP). I’m based in NY.
I'm looking to gage typical salary for my current position, I'll be asking for a raise next week and I know I am being grossly underpaid.
I'm a sales assistant working in retail manufacturing for a swimwear supplier based in NYC. I make 48k before tax, which I feel is extremely under-market value for this location.
I have been with the company for 1.5 years now and have recieved a 60 cent raise & 1200 Christmas bonus (pre-tax). Any advice on a reasonable increase? Would love a gym stipend
What are the dos and donts of obtaining a competitive offer to get a raise? What about timing? Is it tacky to do it right after promo season?
I have a offer from a good company for 19 LPA fixed , EOP 6.9 years. I have resigned in Accenture ,but management wants to retain in promising an immediate 2 weeks onsite to Europe. At the same time I will be receiving hike letter this week for promotion to L9 and management informed that I may get upto 40% hike. Current CTC is 12+3 variable. What should I do? (Considering this is my first offer)
How much hike should be expected when getting promotion from IC2 to IC3 at Oracle India ?
I was told that I was the chosen candidate for a new role that I applied for which will be promotion, I just recently received my offer and was surprised and decided to start negotiating. My boss immediately said that this is offer, either take it or lose it and no negotiating, and was only given a day to decide whether I want it or not, so he repost the position, and was also told that I was going about it the wrong way for trying to negotiate, Is this wrong of me to negotiate?
What is the general perception of diversity initiatives at your firm? Do you think they make any difference in associate retention or promotion? Perspectives from all, including straight, white, wealthy men are welcome. As a female, senior associate that is a queer POC, I couldn’t care less, and my sponsors look nothing like me.
In July, I am looking to transfer into FDD after promotion to Audit Senior 3. What salary can I expect to get in the tri-state HCOL? Also, on average, how often does an FDD Senior work weekends? Not afraid of working hard, but want to have an idea of what I’m getting into.
I tell you what I've learned during this "Corona quarantine" situation. As a parent I believe......
1. TEACHERS NEED A RAISE! 2. They also need a bar in the teacher's lounge! LOL!!
Passed on for a promotion and it sucks. Thought I didn’t want it until someone got it. Passed on because I’m exploring other avenues within the firm but I’m feeling dejected for some reason. 😓
How much of a percentage raise would Vialto need to give you after these CRT results to stay? I would say 5%.
Hello friends, I am working as a CD Analyst and am expecting a promotion to Associate. I am in a high COL city. What base salary and bonus % is reasonable? The company I work for generates ~$3B in revenue
I've been at my company for just over 3 years. I've taken on a lot more responsibilities than my position requests because I've wanted to show I'm eager to learn and have drive. Well it's biting me in the @$$ now because they just keep throwing more on my plate. Boss told me months ago they were going to get me a raise. Planning on buying a house over an hour away and may change companies afterwards but still deserve a raise & don't want to leave at my current $. How do I approach my boss?
Anybody leave big law for a couple of years to raise your kids and successfully rejoined the legal field? Is big law ever an option again?
Working as a senior data analyst at startup clinical trial company in the NE. Have 6 years full time work experience in data analytics post graduate degree. With part time positions during and post undergrad + quantitative masters, more like 8-10 years. What is considered a good salary? I’m currently at $115k + 10% bonus (no 401k match), and might soon be considered for a promotion that involves managing. Just want to make sure I’m ready for salary negotiation. Thanks so much!
I have an offer from PwC for 25% salary raise. I put in my notice last week and my Partner counter offered to match PwC’s offer. 🙄Thoughts on counteroffer?

Good afternoon everyone! I hope all is well and everyone that reads this post is having a great day. I am posting because I am currently looking for a new role. The company I currently work for not only downsized, but severely cut hours for those of us still here. Needless to say, I need to earn money to survive. I have no il-will towards the company but I cannot survive off what I am currently making. If you have any referrals or know of any opportunities, please let me know.

Got laid off about 8 weeks ago. I’ve interviewed with multiple companies, but have not received any offers. I’m starting to get anxious about my career. If anyone got an offer, can you please share some insights on what helped or didn’t help secure a role? Maybe job leads, resume/interview tips. Thank you!!
