After putting in your two weeks notice, how do you tell the rest of your team? Pull people aside one by one? (I’m close with them all and have worked with them for a long time.)

I’ve been practicing for 5 years and am getting burnt out on firm life. I would love to go in house but I don’t really have the traditional practice background - I’ve done mostly professional liability, with some labor and employment. Is going in-house a total pipe dream? Should I be looking to go to another firm and try to shift practice areas instead? Any and all opinions welcome!

Hey All! Anyone have any experience suggesting to an exec that we use a later time slot for a Monthly Team Meeting series? Ours is currently at 8:00am PT on Monday’s. It’s so hard to be camera ready and enthusiastically talk to my team at that time, especially since it’s after the weekend and half the team is still waking up. Cameras are off and participation in that meeting is abnormally low. As an EA I never schedule Monday meetings earlier than 10:00am PT so I’m not sure why we keep this one.

Is it normal for a creative department to be set up so that only 1 or 2 creative teams get all the “good” briefs (campaign concepts, commercial shoot opportunities, anything with budget) and the rest of the creative teams churn out the “boring work” (banners, social from already shot assets,etc).
