After reading my Monday post about my own career change, a reader asked:
I will be interviewing with a start up tech company for a EA/Office Manager position. What should I tell them in terms of annual salary? I have 8 years in HR/Administrative experience and currently going to school for my Bachelors.
Great and fantastic book. Currently employed. I’ve applied to 60+ positions through official sites. ZERO interest. All 6 interviews I have had have come from referrals. I think most posted jobs are BS
I have an interview today, what do I do if the interviewer asks me what I would like my salary to be? It’s the first step in the interview process but just want to be prepped in case the question comes up
Just realized I mistakenly misspelled the person’s name I sent an email to as part of an interview process.
I so hate doing that to someone, do I follow up with a short - “Sorry X I realized I misspelled your name in the prior email, have a nice weekend” or do I just let it be?
One letter off, this is what I get for responding on my phone, dang autocorrect.
I love watching Nardwuar’s interviews.
There have been times interviewing clients where I took the risk to say, “Well thanks so much for your time. Keep on rocking in the free world, and Doot Dola Doot Doo…”, and it was hilarious.
Please reply back with the number of weeks & days between your last round of interviews and your verbal offer and whether or not you accepted the offer.
Hi HR Professionals! I have been tasked with gathering my company's exit interview data and creating a spreadsheet to display and organize the information. I haven't been able to figure out a good way to organize the spreadsheet. Any advice??
Have an interview with BCG San Francisco office....can anyone help answer what's unique about SF office ? I want to prepare a good answer for "Why SF office" other than that I live here !
I am in a very confusing situation. A Month ago I applied for various jobs together. A recruiter from BCG reached back saying we can schedule you for an interview next week.
Now the problem is I am not sure for which position and JD it is ... Can I ask that on email? Or is there a way I can look it up?
Question about Google interview process. Is it normal to have the HM and group of interviewers meet altogether to debrief before the recruiter decides whether to send to the hiring committee?
Has anyone interviewed at PwC for an associate in Management Consulting? My little sister is interviewing and hoping to guide on the type of case they might get. For example: quantative vs non-quantative or operations vs. Profitability. Your help is appreciated!
Deloitte 🐠, I recently had a mock interview for my interview. The person who was interviewing me asks a question, I gave them an answer and they simply read good and great answers from the script. Is this how y’all interview? I was hoping to get feedback and not just reading off of a slide since I can do it on my own. I asked if my interviewer is also going to have a script with good/great answers and reference their interviewee based on that and they said yes. (Contd)
I’m amazed how often I don’t get an interview for a job that I apply for online when I meet all the stated criteria. Would love to hear some thoughts from people who are doing the hiring.
Interviewing with a unicorn start up. Had 4 interviews over 1.5 weeks with responses same day/next day. Final round was Friday mid-day and dropped a thank you note same day. How long this week should I wait to hear from them before a follow up?
Have an interview today for Fiserv, Inc Sales Developmental Rotation program… does anyone have details on the program or any heads up beforehand? Thanks!
11 YOE in tech consulting, interviewing at AWS for Senior Engagement Manager. Tier 2 city. What range should I be looking at.
What are interview questions YOU ask when you are honestly trying to figure out if you'd like it there?
Hello everyone ,
I'm in the process of transitioning from the nonprofit sector to project management. I'd appreciate any advice from anyone who has transitioned from social services to PM.
I have experience in PM task but within a nonprofit so I’ve been getting turned down. It's been disheartening, but I know it's not impossible. Also, do you have any recommendations for companies that are more responsive to people who do not have a technical background?
Any help is appreciated !

Are any of these still in anyone’s radar or portfolio? I’m indifferent as I have limited vested in all of these. Just curious if I hold or trade back to BTC.
We have 1 frozen PGS tested embryo. We did another cycle to bank an extra but were unsuccessful.
We now have to decide if we want to transfer the frozen one or try another cycle, and I am torn. On one hand, I'm telling myself to do the transfer because if it works we're done. On the other hand, I'm telling myself to go for a backup given my age (39) and AMH (0.9) because if the transfer doesn't work we will be gutted with the very real possibility that we're done. Not sure what to do
