Globant India Pvt. Ltd. Hi Globers ! I have an offer from Globant for the role of a BA. While discussing the role with HR pre and post the interviews & offer, I had specifically ask the HR to tag me to Ahmedabad location as that's my hometown and I do not wish to relocate. But she has rolled out the offer for Pune location ane verbally ( isn't giving me in writing ) assured me that the location will be flexible. May I know from the fellow Globers if we have location flexibility or WFH option available? Globant India Pv
Hey Googlers, I’m going in for my GCP TAM second round on Monday and had a few QQs for you all:
1. For the RRK2 case study if there is a scenario for handling peak time workloads where the client did a lift & shift of a monolithic architecture, is the best suggestion to move them to micro services to enable serverless and auto scaling features?
2. I was told that they’ll give me 15 mins to prep after the case study is shared live, would you suggest I build a 1 pager or is that not required?Google

I was laid off during Deloitte‘s mass layoff in July of last year. I have worked as an independent contractor since and projects haven’t been consistent at the client I’m working for. I’m looking to get back into a big firm and was seeing if anyone would be able to refer me or help get my foot in the door. I was a business analyst for 1.5 years at Deloitte and have several years of additional experience which I’d be more than happy to share.

Go crush the interview, you never know...and you may learn something or prepare yourself for when you really want a job
I’m not in all that different of a situation than you. My outlook is that you go do the interview. Worst case scenario, it serves as practice. On the flip side, maybe you go all the way through, and the offer that you get makes you re-think your current position. No real downside to continue the process.
If you really think it’s a colossal waste of your time, don’t bother. But if you’re on the fence, it’s worth checking out. I’ve went on interviews for jobs I thought I would love and walked out disliking. I’ve had interviews for jobs I was on the fence about and walked out really excited about the position
I had the same thing recently. I never felt fully comfortable about accepting the interview. I emailed the recruiter the next day and said I wasn't interested anymore.
If you know you don’t want the job, email the recruiter and respectfully turn down the interview. Sticking through the process is a massive waste of your and their time and resources. If you’re sticking with it to see if the offer will be but enough to sway your decision, you’ll be back interviewing for a new job soon
I did a few of these with firms like Point B and Slalom. I really enjoyed the people I met and can understand their culture and market success that they have had. It was a positive experience and made a set of new connections.
Whatever you do: stay curious, stay positive and be respectful.
Haven't heard back on a set date yet.
Thanks 🐠
Show up in shorts and a hat and wing it.
I did both, dropped out of the process with companies I wasn’t interested in, and continuing the process with another one
