My friend has worked in a big 4 firm in India in a mid-senior role. He is now in Canada and has been working in an industry role. He wants to get back to consulting. Apparently big4’s view Indian...

Any tips for getting reimbursed for roaming data charges while traveling? Went to Canada and forgot to turn off roaming...
This may be a hot take - but as a younger person, working with parents of small kids (especially new parents) is so frustrating. I frequently find myself responsible for picking up the slack due to their family commitments - it’s also somehow completely socially acceptable for kids to barge into zoom meetings screaming. Which MBB / T2 firms have local staffing models? I’m looking to travel (once this is over!), want to avoid firms that largely encourage local projects.
Firm will sponsor my MBA, but is it worth going? Two years of lost earnings and no additional gain in promotion trajectory. I know an MBA can be a good two year vacation, but I’m not sure if there’s much more value besides that. 🐠 who did / didn’t take the MBA sponsorship, what was your rationale?
For those who switched firms, how did you handle the awkwardness of the process (asking people at your current company for references [is this something I should even do?], biting your tongue when leaders try to slot you in long-term projects/initiatives, taking PTO to interview and lying about what you did, etc)? Looking to switch firms soon and trying to see what I should do.
Love when you ask for priority due to high workload and the managers just replies “it is a request from the client” and expects everything to magically get done like there’s no such thing as other conflicting client priorities...
