Lyft or Uber is my preferred car program
Is it just me or is this totally absurd? Points have no value? I noticed that with delta I can get Hertz PC. Is the point saving value higher with them?
Avis program is useless
I thought hertz tried to position themselves towards a more premium segment with higher prices, surprised to hear that their cars are worse
Yep!
Hertz is pretty good. For every $500 in spend you can get weekend rental day
National and I THINK Hertz you can just get Delta miles instead. Rentals are so cheap these days, airline miles reign supreme.
They all more or less suck
After some reading up it seems that indeed hertz and national are the least awful choices... (don’t know what I was thinking with Avis...)
Avis sucks. After 2 years with Avis I wasn’t even able to get a full weekend of a rental car.
I rent every week. Hertz was so much better but were not allowed to use hertz at Deloitte
Hertz cars are worse than avis though
Maybe. I’m not sure though. I like the value I got out of hertz. The cars are not important to me as long as I can get where I need to be
I try to purchase everything through SWA and take those points. At least I know what I'm getting and can use them for something valuable.
I use Hertz and I regularly get a Benz or infinity when getting a car in Boston. Idk if that’s not a good car to u guys, but I’m happy with Hertz.
National in my opinion gives you the most bang for your points and if you rent out of major airports the emerald club lets you choose baller cars. Just be conscious of your choice based on the client, don’t want to look like a prick in front of a dude driving a 1998 Toyota. #myclientexperience
Agree with EY 3 on National.
There's no points with National. Just free rental car days that are easy to redeem for most types of cars including SUVs and premium sedans.
If you care about driving baller cars go with National, you will never be disappointed. But if you want more value for your points, Hertz is definitely the way to go. I rather not convert my hertz points to miles, as they are more valuable as hertz points.
I managed to get the president circle upgrade through delta platinum, so now eager to see if that results in any ‘baller cars’ in which case it’s the best of both worlds :-)
Hold your breath op. The corollas will feel nicer.
