Any update on WFH Extension ?
Hi Fishes, I have offers from PwC(risk advisory) and IBM(app development). Thing is that the PwC joining is at Kolkata location but I don't want to go there and stay. There is not much difference between the offers in terms of package(10 & 10.4). Can I ask PwC to provide WFH or change my office location for this? Deloitte EY PwC KPMG

ZS Associates Hello folks, I am a permanent employee of Persistent. I am deputed at the client side. My client is an ZS associate. Recently I have resigned from persistent. But ZS is very happy with my work. They don't want me to go. My ZS manager has asked the persis manager to retain me OR remove the cooling period clause, ZS is ready to hire me as a permanent employee. I will be very happy is ZS takes me as Permanent employee. But will persistent remove cooling period clause? Persistent Systems Limited ZS

I totally agree
Haha. I remember the first day I realized something was amiss on here. (I was auto-added to that bowl.) Anyway, I was like, “what the hell is going on? Where did all the sociopaths come from?” It’s been interesting tho. I’ve enjoyed the different perspectives.
I went from knowing nothing about Ernst & Young to knowing nothing but contempt.
😂
No matter how maddeningly unstable we may all be.
I had to leave the bowl cuz they were annoying the crap out of me.
I also left the bowl. It was actually infuriating to read many of their posts. Makes me really appreciate you guys!
Honestly, I'd love if we had more diversity of thought. But yah, glad I'm not in a bowl with them all the time.
That's fair - it occasionally catches me when I realize everyone is falling in ideological line and I wonder if something is being lost in it all.
Have you noticed none of us initiate conversations in those channels but only chime in to disagree or add to them.
I really don’t like them
Made me realize I never want to make the jump to consulting
It seems like they have a huge bro problem.
In the thread about what you can’t wait to do after quarantine, it was a booze, brunch, steaks
I hung out there, cost me a 72 hour suspension.
Agreed!
That’s the thing with Big 4 consulting companies. They use a totally different skillset and often come from more traditional backgrounds than us, the land of the misfit toys. We all try our best
What do you mean by this?
I straddle both worlds since I work for a consultancy that is part of a larger agency (and used to work in an agency.) One thing I will say is that the pandemic has brought out the lunatics in the consulting bowls. It used to be a pretty good mix of (truly clueless) juniors and nicer, more seasoned pros but that dynamic seems to have disappeared. In general I've seen consultants that tend to be more financially motivated, but also lack some of the holier-than-thou I'm-an-artist-you-ignorant-peasant types that I've seen in agencies. It's a mixed bag. But yeah, this seems to have brought out some of the worst of the consultants.
The thread about who’s wealthy vs. rich. ☹️🪓
Yea that was the last straw. I was out ✌️

Yes.
I was most surprised that the average age of a consultant seems to be about 24.
This actually helps understand their mindset. Thanks Klick1.
