After stopping birth control a year ago to start TTC, my hormonal acne on my cheeks has been wild. Since we’re TTC I can’t use Tretinoin. Has anyone been in this situation? What works?

My therapist just told me I'm depressed..do you ever feel like they tell you things you hear a lot or could have figured out on your own? Like take care of yourself, it's ok to feel such and such, etc. I'm still newer to therapy so wondering if that's the common experience? Do you ever have moments where you're like wow that actually is eye opening and I wouldn't have gotten that from reading self help books and websites etc?

When they examined me, they mentioned a endometrial (?) cyst on my ovary that I didn’t process fully, and prescribed low-hormone BC to manage the pain. After the visit, I did research and it appears this is a late-stage result of endometriosis, which I have never been diagnosed with (no previous gynos have ever mentioned it). My firm has a 9-year partnership track as of a year or two ago. It has grown quickly from 5 to 7 to 9 in the past 10 or so years. In the written document that sets out the criteria for partnership, it basically says that your billable hours need to go up every year. Our minimum is 1900. I’m wondering how normal this increasing billables requirement is? I am torn between thinking it’s sensible and thinking it’s another example of law firms treating associates like machines.

Starting our IVF journey after months of tests, procedures, and failed medicated IUI cycles. Wondering if anyone else opted to pass on egg genetic testing? My doctor says it’s really up to me but may not be necessary. For context, I’m under 30 and have PCOS. This is totally new to me and trying to figure out if the extra $6K is worth it given we have had maternal and paternal genetic testing and still under 30.

I'm getting ready to do a cycle and found out I have a large cyst on one side. Anyone else go through this? Drugs or surgery?

My husband and I were set to start trying when I ovulate in a couple weeks. I didn’t get my period and a few days late (and I haven’t been late in months). I have PCOS so once I got my period back it has been consistent. So I took a test and is positive. I called my doctor, went in for a blood test and said was negative. I don’t understand what is going on. I don’t see how not pregnant, unless my pcos is flaring up again so either way just upset :/

I have consult with RE coming up next month to potentially start IVF. I’m not happy where I’m (job/company) and looking to switch. Current job has good fertility benefits. Wondering if I switch jobs, do fertility benefits typically kick in as soon as you start or there is a delay when you become eligible? Anyone has gone through this or know?

After my HSG and SHG I now have to do an MRI of my pelvis because the RE wants a better picture of one of the fibroids. They said if it is pushing into my uterine wall then it needs to be surgically removed. And if that’s not the problem then IVF is the next step. But I don’t want to do IVF nor can I afford to. 😔

Does anyone have experience with surrogacy? If so, how did you find an agency or surrogate?

At what point do you decide to switch labs when IVF isn’t working. I’ve had one cycle so far, and 2 FETs with an AA and AB embryos (both genetically tested), and no luck yet. No underlying infertility issues (doing IVF for genetic reasons) so I’m kind of confused as to why I’m not having success. I have one AB embryo left and if that doesn’t work I don’t know if I should stick with the same RE/lab or go somewhere else? Like how do you know if it’s you or them that’s the problem?

Has anyone experienced repeat early miscarriage and chemical pregnancies with PGS tested embryos? Had 3 so far, all good quality embryos (AA or AB) and lining always looked good (>9mm, trilaminar). Also tested TSH levels and those are good. Seems really unusual, trying to figure out if there’s something I’m missing.

My husband did his semen analysis last week and his morphology came out to be low i.e. 2 (normal range 2.5 to 4). He had done it couple of times few years ago and results were great. My doctor said I should check with fertility clinic for assessment. The appointments are not available immediately. Wanted to get guidance on these results. Anyone has been in a similar boat? Are these results really scary? His motility seems to be fine. Do these results fluctuate? Hope to hear back. Thank you!

Freezing your eggs, is it worth it? Both in terms of the toll on your body and the aftermath

Hi everyone, I am 4 days into my IUI process. I also recently found out that my UTI was not a UTI but instead Ureaplasma. My husband also tested positive.
We are waiting to hear back from the fertility specialist but I wanted to see if anyone has had this experience, or any knowledge. I’m nervous that the antibiotics will affect my ability to conceive, but just as nervous ureaplasma will make it difficult as well. I can wait until next month and start over but I really don’t want to. Any advice
