Hi Fishes, I grabbed an offer at Accenture with 12 LPA fixed for Level 9. I'm not getting a retention offer from my current company at 13.5 lpa. How do I go about a counter offer with Accenture HR? Also tell me how to approach this situation smoothly.
If HR doesn't fulfill the counter offer, is it ok to accept 12 lpa fixed for Level 9 and when will I get a hike here and how much would it be approximately?

I thought you can tell them what you want, they just can’t ask what you’re getting.
I like CD1's number better.
Please tell me it’s johannes fuckanardo? Those losers offer pennies.
Ask what they’re thinking first. She who shares a number first is at a disadvantage in negotiating.
Depends on the size of the agency. But no less than 230
$225k. They'll say that's too high. You ask what they have in mind. They'll say $185. Try to get $200k. That helps us all. Good luck! Report back, please.
It's not illegal. It's a red flag. You can tell them what you believe your worth (225K) and then, to show you're willing to negotiate a bit, tell them it really depends on a number of things - how big is the account (or accounts), who are you reporting to (a GCD, an ECD, both plus a CCO?) how many people are you managing, what are the benefits, does it include flex time, how many vacation days do you get, are there other, non-standard perks.
Total flag. I would think that means they don’t want to pay a standard CD salary
Not a red flag. They just want to make sure no one is wasting their time. Granted this typically indicates the number will be on the lower end of spectrum.
FYI: 120-150k and mainly working on tobacco brands. 😵
Thanks for sharing OP. Wow. That is appalling.
Yikes. That’s a big pile of No
@CW1, love it.
@ACD, you’re correct. I was mistaken. :)
@cd2, agreed. My thoughts exactly. $100 says they want around $150k. 🙅🏿♀️
The illegal version is if they ask what you're making now. Ok to ask what you want though.

@cd3, not sure who/what that is? Agency name? 🙈
