I think a lot of the women in this bowl (including myself) are pro laser hair removal. I recommend you look into it and see if it’s something you’re open to doing.

I’m a big fan of epilating. The hair grows back finer and eventually it stops growing back.

Why is it awkward? Everyone needs to groom themselves. If your flatmates don’t see obviously hairy armpits then they must intellectually accept that you take care of yourself.

Laser all the way! It’s been years I haven’t had to do anything with my armpits, there is no hair 😅

Laser all the way 🙌🏽 I'm a south asian woman so obviously used to grow hair like a wilderbeast and I've seen some drastic improvements. I don't grow hair on my legs, stomach, armpits and *special* areas anymore.

Took about a year on and off but usually people see results after 6-8 treatments

Omg laser all the way. But do your research. I used the candela yag laser. Brown skin and it worked really well. I was very hairy but the results varied based on the area and texture of hair. Legs were very thick and saw results quickest while 16 sessions later I still struggle with the face. I had a very good technician that level on expectations and told me that face is the toughest to get rid of. I used to pay $1000 for 6 sessions full body which IMO was a great investment since I now shave maybe once in 6 months

Laser – And nowadays it’s become cheaper than it was 10 years ago and more effective on most skin tones

Have any of y’all south Asian women experienced hyperpigmentation with laser? Or scarring? I want to get it done but I’m nervous

The technician should always test on your skin before moving forward and it is a balance between not burning brown skin and getting the hair… Make sure you aren’t getting tanned because that will change their numbers when they chart/track progress. I got it done- isn’t 100% gone, but it’s so sparse, it’s worth it!

Hmm I’m thinking about getting laser done now :) Does anyone have any recommendations in the Boston area?

SA1, did you end up getting any recommendations? Looking for a good option in Boston too.

I’m mentally breaking down because I have been doing a job of a scheduler, PM, notetaker, regulatory submissions, and thus have no room for growth to work on strategy. I’m an AS and I am so sick of having to remind everyone because no one looks at my notes, recaps, and no one remembers anything from any meeting. Recently because I’m so exhausted I started making more “mistakes” like not catching a mistake on a submission. Is this because I suck or is it time for me to move off? I feel terrible.
