Wishing you the best of luck OP. The government is backlogged 700,000+ clearances and contractors aren’t the priority. Very much a broken system...

like

Never knew that “fun” and “SCIF” could be used in the same sentence haha

likefunny

All I want for Christmas is to get another job and leave this firm because they lack interest in hiring people onto federal clients that can treat others with respect.

It likely will take every minute of the 550 day average

Why on earth do you want one of those clearances?

two months ago lol....I know I'm impatient, but I haven't even heard about a poly

like

Just got mine two weeks ago. It took 2years nearly on the dot

like

Correct me if I’m wrong but isn’t SCI specific to each contract? TS is TS, then you have to be “read on” to certain projects.

like

I got my TS then had a separate process for SCI adjudication. TS took 20 months and then SCI took 5 months.

like

OP, the IC definitely is cool but largely depends on which agency you are working for. Some suck while others have great missions

like

Jared that you?

like

I'm trying to get out of the IC. Takes too long to get anything done in the IT space.

like

You can have mine

like

When were you put in?

What’s ts/sci?

Did an internship in the IC, like it more than mgmt consulting, so figured I'd head back.

PWC1 preach haha

Thank you BA1

Have fun in a SCIF.

idk lots of my client sites are as sterile as a SCIF -- IC is simply more interesting for me

Anyone else struggle to eat enough calories? My current diet plan has me set to eat 1600 cals/day. I can barely hit 1000. I am trying to lose fat weight/gain muscle and am eating a high protein x Mediterranean diet. I am SO full after each meal, considering water intake on top, I can't figure out how to get more cals in without eating calorie dense foods (which are typically less healthy). I am exercising on top so net cals is even less (which I probably need to stop until I can eat more).

Hello 👋🏽

First post on here!

Professional in the Midwest with 5 years experience. Recently got an offer for a fully-remote (main benefit I want) Senior Business Systems Analyst role at $112k base + 10% Bonus + Equity Grant of $20k in the next 4 years (basically an additional $5k / year).

This seems more than in line with the national average for this position.

My main counter that I would like to ask for is a $10k Signing-Bonus.

Is the Equity Grant basically the Signing-Bonus?

Had a very expedited process for my dream role last week and had positive feedback. Then was told they’ll make a decision and follow up ASAP. Never heard back. Each time I followed up, they pushed the timeline back. Just using this to vent - really demoralizing and not a great way to start off the weekend
