Hi can an experienced hire in McKinsey & Company provide some insight into how long it took to transfer a H1B visa ? My application status shows filing for the last one week and on asking a tentative timeline for filing I was told it has to complete mandatory review before filing…. I am just wondering how long it usually takes to actually file it.

I applied for a job at Visa and was contacted the same day. A few days later I had a 30-minute screening interview with the hiring manager. I knew I was very early in the process since the job had only been posted for a few days. It's been 3 weeks and I haven't heard back, even after reaching out to the recruiter. Have I been ghosted or is there still hope? Does anyone at Visa have insights? Looks like there are a ton of jobs posted so maybe they are just backed up?

My I94 has expired and the current firm has applied for an h1b extension. But it is still pending as it was done in regular processing. I have a receipt from USCIS.

I have an offer from another company, would they be able to file for an h1b transfer at this point? Would they also apply for an extension at the same time?

Is it ok to discriminate against people based on things out of their control or beyond their choice?

Question on H-1B and LCA. 1) If one lives in New Jersey and works in New York and LCA is already filed and confirmed for H-1B, do they need to file another LCA with home address now that they work from home due to covid? 2) Also, for state tax withholding, HR might need to update “employer work location” on HR profile. Does that require filing of H-1B amendment - maybe it is considered employer address changes? Does it require another LCA? Stick both LCA on wall?
