Is QEF inclusion dividend or not? Sometimes, I see QEF inclusion reported on Line 11i and sometimes on Line 6a. I think we can rely on Sec. 1293(c) but I think it’s not foolproof. My hunch is since QEF regime is tailored to treat the PFIC similar to domestic mutual funds, we should not treat the QEF inclusion as dividends. Any help is appreciated.

Any Jewish folks here? Need help addressing a Bat Mitzvah card. The invite says “Sarah is called to the Torah as a b’nei mitzvah”. According to Google, b’nei is the plural term for boys and girls. Want to avoid assigning gender to someone I don’t know and just saying Bat (vs Bar for men). What do I say in the card… congratulations as you celebrate your Bat Mitzvah? Bnei Mitzvah? Thanks!

I have a bit of a dilemma and need some advice. My manager pushes really hard to recruit and hire only minority candidates. While I'm all for diversity, it feels unethical to exclude other qualified candidates just because they are a particular race and gender (white males). I've had to pass over a few candidates that were WAY more qualified and in my opinion would have made a much better fit. I don't know if there's anything I can or should do.

The ad industry is legendarily homogenous. Won’t unionizing simply close ranks & protect existing white professionals, who then protect other professionals just like them, resulting in LESS diversity?

Have competing offers from EY and KPMG UK Economic advisory teams( Manager/Snr Exec level). KPMG's UK technical rep and comp offer is better, but the hours appear longer. EY UK Director has had several calls selling culture (diversity and work life balance). Is there actually a substantive emphasis on this by EY? Or are 50+ hour weeks quite common? I suspect it's going to be quite team dependent/ project dependent, and therefore a gamble in any case. Thanks for any perspectives.

How would this play out during conflict check: Had a Chase credit card default during law school. Collection agency filed suit in small claims as Chase bank’s assignee. Settled very quickly and voluntarily dismissed by collection agency. Potential firm has presented/is representing Chase in matters. Is this going to be an issue? I work as a Project Management contractor with my own LLC. I manage Programs, Projects and Portfolios. I see the consulting company bills the end client $200 per hour for me when I only get about $75. How can I cut out the middle man? Or at least find a why to get a better deal on this.
