I'm having the last loop interviews with Amazon for an analyst position, but I'm realizing that it might not be the right place for me, I'm currently working at hpe and have a good balance, 11+ YOE, I'm not sure if it's really worth the effort. Can someone tell me about what level sales ops analyst job might be? I looked for range salaries and it looks like it is 55k for Germany, so not really much of what I'm earning now.
I read bad comments about the culture and the workload balance.

You have to prioritize your health and remember that the consulting fires are not real fires. Nobody is dying or injured. And the point of having a team is so that each individual can take care of themselves while the work continues
Honestly, I'd quit the project, fallout be damned. We're not paid enough to put in those kind of hours regularly and it's a sign of shit leadership that they are asking you to do so. Sorry to hear about your situation.
So sorry :( 80 hour weeks fucking killed me, I was on a transcon flight every 10 days to go back home and work on the same shit remotely for 3 days then fly back and repeat. It was soul sucking and went on for 7 months. I really feel for you. Do you know how much longer you're on this project? Why are they running you so far over time?
Agree with D1. I went through hell on that project because it was my first major client project and was extremely high profile (one of the first adoptions of cloud in the public sector with a major tech company's product... some years back). I knew that project was going to set me up for years to come. And it did. Took me to Europe for several years and launched my career in tech.
But no fucking way for a standard project that's just shit management. If you don't stand to individually come out with insane credentials or industry cred, there's no reason to work like that. And certainly not indefinitely. Totally agree, really poor leadership. I did get several out of band adjustments for that shitty project, our leaders knew they were screwing us. Does your leadership show any appreciation or understanding of the toll this is taking?
Don't quit, report it. Call one of the hotlines anonymously and complain. I was on a high attrition project where people were leaving the firm entirety when I started. End state was complaints came in and management was reorganized, scolded and some removed. Performance is top down. Insane hours and expectations is cost, staffing and risk management.
Honestly, take a mental health day. Just say you're sick. They *will* manage, but you can't survive on the lack of sleep. For me, lack of sleep ramps up my issues like 500% so when I say you need a break now to stop from burning out, I mean it. After a few days like that, I'm in hysterics
Agreed with everyone above. Unless this is a project that will make your career AND you know exactly how long you will have to be sacrificing for (i.e. 3 months), quit
I quit Deloitte after 6 months of similar BS. Not worth sacrificing your health. I left the firm with a cross bite and lazy eye from grinding my teeth at night and staring at the computer too long. I’ve never been the same since.
Start calling a spade a spade and you’ll feel so much better. Be honest about how you feel about getting F’d so hard for the margin (that’s what’s happening) They should be staffing their projects appropriately
Thanks guys! Update: project got extended 3rd time and Partners willingly accept it every single time and every single client request. Best of all, staffing overbook my only other team member. Just finished another 80 hours week and overtime into the weekend.
No job is worth compromising your health. The work always gets done with or without you
You totally have to try to get out!!
